I’m beyond excited to be attending my second game in the same season for the first time since I was a student in 2007 (also the last time we finished the year undefeated at Neyland to my understanding).

I brought my 12-year-old son out to the Bama game a few weeks ago for our eighth annual mother-son trip. Although he’ll be playing in his all-star game this weekend and can’t come with us, I’m bringing my 7-year-old daughter out for her first college football game this weekend and my mom is joining us for her first visit to campus since I was at UT.

Between the Heisman talk, CFP rankings, and everything swirling around this unexpectedly magical second season of the Heupel era, I hope our fans really soak in every moment of the last game these 2022 Vols will have at home.

I was teaching my daughter the words to the alma mater this evening using YouTube videos with the lyrics, and teared up a little seeing the second verse that I probably haven’t encountered since I first learned it. Have an amazing weekend on Rocky Top, everybody! 🍊

“What torches kindled at that flame
Have passed from hand to hand
What hearts cemented in that name
Bind land to stranger land…

O, ever as we strive to rise
On life’s unresting stream
Dear Alma Mater, may our eyes
Be lifted to that gleam.”

Oh I don’t know about that…our fans are tough to top. But thank you! Hoping to work up to a suite one day and a nice tailgate space. 🍊

Suites are way over-rated. Too far removed from the action. My son and I moved down to the seats one year to be closer to the field. I hope you and your daughter have a great experience.

Great point…I’m sure there are pros and cons, but being amongst the madness is incredible. ☺️

Coming up from Chattown with my fam this Friday for the volleyball game and then Saturday for the game. My twins play 16s Club so they are stoked to see their first Vols VB game!

We are two years removed from 3-7.Last year,we were 7-6(should have been 8-5).This year,we are 8-1 with 3games left that we are favored in all of them.To think that we could be at that record.inCoach Josh Heupel's second year,it is a dream come true.A great coach, with a great staff, and great players.Who could.ask for more,Toyota.

Girl, by the ages of your kids, you sound pretty young. Now if one of them can never make to the game, let me know and I'll go in with you as your father or uncle. DeaL?

I would like to at least once in my remaining days here on earth to be able to sit in this section. Anybody know what they go for?

I sat in U row 2 for Akron and V row 1 for Bama. $200 each for Akron and $2k each for Bama. You can find them (lower level S through V) online for about $250 for Mizzou. There is a VIP area you can access that is on field level when your in the lower level of these sections. Private concessions, restrooms etc. Go for it. Well worth it.

Thanks! Probably have to wait for a cupcake team, maybe next year. Good info though that I was wondering about.

My earliest memories include road-trips from Chattanooga to UT games with my folks before there was an interstate... later, games with my kids accompanying my parents when we'd travel home from Austin for our fall sojourn. And my last game with my parents, about 10 years ago before he died. Together we stood and sang the Alma Mater and at its conclusion, he turned to me and said "UT's been pretty good for both of us Tennessee grads, hasn't it?" All I could do was hug him, there were no words sufficient for the moment. Cherish your memories... they WILL last a lifetime, for you and your kids.
