Need I say more?

This describes the season in a nutshell. A defensive player who is giving his all in support of an offense who couldn't beat it's way out of a wet paperbag.

I almost broke down in tears when I saw that shot on the sidelines at the end of the game.

Same here.

If we had even average, no, even mediocre offense and special teams we would only have 1 loss, maybe. But our offense and special teams are pathetic, not underachieving, not average, not bad.

PATHETIC in the truest sense of the word.

I feel sorry for the defense too. They have character for not giving up already. I hope they keep the resolve or we could end up 3-8 because our offense and special teams won't win a game for us.

This is what it feels like when UTs defense can't score a TD.

Our defense played another great game. I am even willing to overlook a couple of big penalties that helped bama out big time during the course of the game. Considering they were once again just trying to win the game for us, I give them two big thumbs up.

I thought the offense and the normally bad special teams played its best game of the year against a very good defense....you just can't put the ball on the ground twice inside the ten against a team that good and expect to win.

I thought that they looked the same. Shooting themselves in the foot and helping the other team win.

Yep, shot themselves in the foot...but very well played otherwise.

I just don't see it. How was it well played? If it wasn't for our defense, we would have lost that game 35 to 3.

Yep, if we didn't have a good defense we would quite possibly be 0-6. That's how bad our offense and special teams are.

Er...we had 2 TWO penalties on the first punt return of the game. The man we had on the 3 yard line let a punt go over his head into the endzone. A punt receiver let the ball go through his hands and laid still on the ground while AL recovered. My god, this was special teams' best game?

Somebody get this man another!

Our special teams played on par with the UF performance. Our offense scored THREE #*%@ points.

You've got the atheletes. It appears they need a general, QB, to lead them. I wasn't very impressed with our play calling either. I think we both need new OC's? :dunno:

Eh, this game, from what I saw, seemed symptomatic of play in all over the SEC... Superb defense but untalented and/or inept offensive play. Little combination of both.

what more can the defense do. i feel terrible for them.

I think our defense :realmad: should close the doors to the locker room and lock it. Once that's done they should commence to kicking the offense’s :mf_surrender: azz.

Yep, offense and special teams are 100% accountable for all 3 losses this season end of discussion.

We are losing a LOT of talent on defense after this season.

im not worried. we our tenn and we will get good d recruits. chavis will still be great. we may rebuild next year but we will be loaded in 2007. we have an easy schedule that year compared to this year.

w/ jonathan crompton and arian foster, i predict that will be a good year.

but thtats too far to look ahead.
