Does anyone else think that this search has been handled wrong? I mean we may end up with a good coach in the end like Strong, but all these "smoke and mirrors" tactics have been taken way to far IMO. It's pretty bad when you can't even confirm who the AD has talked to, let alone interiewed. Just seems like Hart is dead set on doing everything his way, and I think if he does something out of left field, the big $$ are going to be very upset. Jmo, of course.

I think the blame should be placed on Hubbs, Rucker, and Hyams for misleading everyone by posting anything and everything that "sources" say. Why can't they confirm with AD before they post that someone was interviewed?

I think its more the Knox Media wanting to break the story and freaking out over every rumor.

His job is on the line too...so I don't care if he he does it his way, as a matter of fact, I would prefer he do it his way...as long as we get a good coach in the end..

What is benefit in leaking everything? The last time that happened the UT brand took a hit after everyone turned us down.

I actually have no idea how the actual search has been handled. The "smoke and mirrors" have mostly been distributed by dicks on this site who had no effing clue what was happening and just wanted to stir things up.

I think the Gruden rumors were handled wrong, they should have been squashed sooner. I seriously think if this had happened, Vol fans would be more realistic about this hire. I also think the announcement would have been yesterday if not for Phil getting in the HOF, I'm convinced it will come today. All in all I think Hart has done a lot better than Hammy.

I think Hart has handled the search perfectly. Everyone is getting excited about anything the media throws out and the only person that matters is Hart.

First you had the Oh my god it's Gruden, gruden, gruden and people were mostly happy.

Then it's STrong VolsStrong, and people were at each others throats.

Now we are hearing Gundy.

Sit back and wait for Hart to finish his job.

The joys of electronic media. Social media is de devil. Too easy to tweet something you just heard rather than wait to find out if it is true. And by saying "sources" said something, they have the backdoor if it does not pan out. News is not fact based anymore. It's gossip based.

It's been handled the way they said it would. Nothing will be said until they have hired a coach. Kinda like its nobody's business until there's a done deal. You might not like that but that's what they said & what they have stuck to.

You're upset you don't have a clue what is going on, correct? It seems no one has a clue who Hart has talked to. That is the way it should be.

This. But we still have to see what happens now. If Gundy declines and we start scraping the bottom of the barrell, then he will have lot more explaining to do.

He started with *****ing the Gruden thing, which was probably unrealistic. However, now he is making it look as if no one wants this job. I wouldn't be surprised if it plays out as if we just can't get anyone else and we have to settle for Kirby Smart who is Harts number one BAMA boy. I think this is intentional by Hart because no one in his position can be this stupid!

No, the press and the rumormongers have done that. Hart has been quiet.

Gruden never wanted the job.
