This team quit! Again!

Has anybody stopped to think how many top notch teams we have played this year? Sure I wish we could have played better, but man what a stretch of tough games.

---
I know. It's tough to win in the big bad SEC. Maybe UT should go to the OVC since they can't be expected to be competitive in this conference.

Those other teams are just mean beating UT up like that.

It's not fair.

Extra difficult when you're having to completely rebuild due to the complete cluster left behind due to two horrible hires ( Kiffin and Dooley). The SEC is by far and away the most difficult conference in the country which makes rebuilding a program extremely difficult. Ohio State would be lucky to 9-3 in the SEC

Not only are they less talented and poorly coached. This team has a habit of quitting. This is the most embarrassing home game I have ever seen!

What has happened to the fight and determination this team evinced during the Ga and USC games? We were 13 pts dogs at MO ( lost by 28) no effort to speak of and a 7 pt dog today ( lost by 32) no effort to speak of. At some point in time, then coaching has to be examined to try to explain why this team is under-achieving as badly as it is. I am not saying fire Butch- I am saying maybe we need a couple of new assistant coaches. I thought Tim Priest ( an all SEC def back in his time) was going to have at stroke because Vol D Backs kept repeating the same mistakes, over and over and over. Where is the pride that goes with playing in Orange at Neyland ? I don't understand the lack of effort. Someone should smarten me up about whats going on.

No they were over matched. I said it all week they didn't match up well. I'm surprised they kept it 2 tds at half time

This quitting talk is getting old. I didn't see any quitting. The team was jumping up and down and the defense was engaged even when we went down by 30.

We just played 3 teams who are much better teams, both in talent, preparation, and execution. Stop with the Goofiness.

"Coaches can coach and scheme all day, but in the end this game comes down to mano e mano. " Inky Johnson earlier in the year. Do you think he saw something in this team that some of us haven't seen.
Obviously we don't have players that can win against their man and get into the wrong position weather it is talent, speed, being beaten down mentally, bad coaching or just flat out being worn out. What it comes down to is having pride in your performance and knowing that you gave 100%. I loved seeing the guy from Oregon crying on the sideline cause his team was losing. It shows pride in his team. This team doesn't seem to have anyone like that. They have come to expect to lose and it shows on the field. NO amount of coaching will fix that!

This board is literally a joke. Support your damn team or get out. Butch is one helluva coach and recruiter. With all the attrition and changes this team/staff has gone through the past 4 years this years results should be expected. These guys didn't quit, they were out matched. Go up to the players and tell them they quit and see what they say. Go Vols beat Vandy in two weeks.

Nobody is making you visit here. Feel free to leave anytime.

CBJ had 2 goals for the season with THE most difficult schedule in the SEC: beat a ranked team and get to a bowl game. We did #1. Let's see if we can do #2.

Who was the OC for Auburn from 2009-2011. Been with these players before. Totally different than Jones and staff coming in unknown.

Congrats! You get it! I wonder how many of these blithering idiots don't even know who Gus Malzan is and where he came from! Geez!

That's usually what happens when you get blown out midway threw 3rd quarter. Still hungover from the dooley era. Ready to get Butch's recruits in there. Will be a whole different attitude. Ready for a defensive overhaul as well. I still think Butch will get it turned around. He is determined to get UT back. Lets be glad we have a coach who is diehard and determined to get us back. End drunken rant....GoVols!!!!

Coordinators get promoted all the time. The good ones succeed. The bad ones fail. Auburn made a great hire it appears. Jury still out on Tennessee.

Jones brought in his big east buddies. They won't win in the SEC.

I don't think they quit again. I think won the SCar game, quit then and haven't stopped quitting since. And Butch is clearly frustrated because he has no earthly how to get effort and focus from this team.
