This will be our first winning season in 5 years.

The team got better, and actually played 4 qts.

if we had a few more winnable games maybe but we are going to have to upset someone and I am not sure who that could be yet. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Auburn are all winnable games but we would have to win 3 out of 4 which will be very difficult to do imo. Which means we are going to have to upset one of UGA, USC, or UA which will be even more difficult to do.

Not a prayer. My prediction was 7-5, but I was wildly optimistic and thought we could sweep November. No. Way.

Hard to say because Florida is not a good team. They'll be lucky to go 7-5 themselves.

Florida will win more games than that. Their D is just too good. Their QB can run and throw well. I think losing Driskel was a game changer for them today.

I suggested 7-5 or even 8-4, but I was also wildly optimistic.

That being said, you have a good point that we did play for 4 Quarters. We definitely need an answer at QB, but aside from that I can see us improving and possibly sqweaking out 6 or 7 wins.

It's early in the season, and our offense is a big question mark. They just need to find their rhythm, and our second half under Worley wasn't terrible against a good, albeit overrated, Florida defense.

I'm still behind Butch 100%. Yes, he should have pulled Peterman much, much earlier, but starting him and then pulling him so early would have wrecked Peterman's confidence and further limited his experience. Any way you spin it, he still IS our back up QB.

Regardless, with South Alabama ahead, it may be time to pull a redshirt and see what one of the True Freshmen can do.

Just keep in mind, this is Year 0. So far, we've been blasted by a highly talented Oregon team that has a good chance of playing in (and possibly winning) the NC, and a Florida team that played in the Sugar Bowl last year.

Coaches always say that the team gets better between the first and second game, so we should see that any time now.
