is what it is. As upset as I am about the loss, it's the same team with the same problems we've had all year. It seems like teams have just adjusted to us since our early run. Three things I immediately see that need fixing. ASAP
1. Mind-boggling substitutions.
2. A point guard who can't score consistently in a system that seems somewhat to demand it.
3. And I hate to call out individuals, but Tatum starting. Even when he can score, his defense is horrible. He's part of the reason Knight got so hot from 3 in the second.

Please add to this list. I'd love to know what some more knowledgeable posters think needs to change.

I thought Goins had a pretty great game today. He wasn't the problem. He had a couple of bad turnovers in the 2nd half, but he was pretty solid for the most part.

As for Tatum, I don't see any good reason why he should get any minutes at this point. He is worse than a non-contributor as he actually hurts the team with his shots which are as good as turnovers.

Goins was decent, and he didn't take too many threes. But his lack of scoring ability seems to take away from his ability to create for others.

I don't really have much else to say about him. I thought he was great on defense and minimized his turnovers and bad shot selection. He was solid.

In a game where you are out muscled and outhustled you needed more Maymon and less Pearl and Hall imo. Much better rebounder and defender.

I used to love Pearl but I'm so sick of him complaining over every single call or non call. It's getting embarassing watching him kick and scream like a baby. As for Scotty it won't hurt my feelings at all if he goes to the WNBA I mean NBA he has great talent but no heart. As long as he is the leader we are not going to win many close games. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see him playing in the NBA. Is there a pro league in France? Pearl has done a piss poor job of recruiting overall since he's been here. How many contributing 3 or 4 year players has Pearl signed? He has lived almost completely off transfers and jc players and there's no reason to believe the recruiting will get better with everything swirling around the program. I think it's time to clean house and start all over. I know alot of people think Pearl is the only coach in the world but he's not there are plenty of quality coaches that would love to earn a million + per year and coach in front of 20,000.

We should've came down the court driving the ball everytime. They were in foul trouble and everytime we took it to the hole UK would foul. Then it stopped.....why??!!

I love Tennessee basketball, but this year has taken about 10 years off my life. I'm honestly ready for the season to end at this point...Never thought I would say that but I can't stomach watching this team play right now. It's ugly, especially offensively. I wish Tobias would come back next year because I think we will have a pretty exciting team to watch and with the addition of a couple of decent big men and some guards who can play Bruce's system it will be an interesting year.

The first 8 minutes of the 2nd half killed UT, just as it has in so many other losses. What does CBP say at halftime? Guys, it's just a game, so it's okay if you don't bother to rebound or shoot the rock or play D this next half. I swear, if he called in Pat Summit to bawl the team out at halftime, we'd by 24-7 or better on the season. If we play Arkansas in the SEC tournament, we'd better be up by 35 points at halftime, otherwise we lose big time.

The overall atmosphere at Tennessee is bad. Everything Pearl has been doing that led to the NCAA investigation, the hiring of Lane Kiffin that led to more NCAA investigations is the problem. We have solved the football part of the problem with the hiring of Dooley. There are two problems left at UT. One is Pearl and the other is the AD Mike Hamilton. They both need to be replaced. Until this happens I do not see the basketball problem getting any better.

Jus not impressed with maymon.... as for pearl he and goins played more than any vol to see the court.. how many 3s did he give up in the game not many
