The VOLS have the best defense we've had since the early 2000's. The defense alone, especially that DL, is capable of winning games against most of the SEC. Teams simply can't run against us, nor can they successfully take deep shots.

The offense is just scratching the surface. It was obvious all game long how much the VOLS missed Heard last night. A large chunk of the game was played without either starting OT... Not ideal for a freshman QB on the road against a very good Oklahoma defense. That being said, Nico made some great throws and did exactly what Heupel asked of him. I'm not sure this offense can be 2022 best in the nation good, but it absolutely can finish top 5, which is plenty good enough to win it all with this defense. I expect Nico to continue improving and the run game to get back on track when Heard returns.

Most pleased with CJH, as he leaned on his defense with a healthy two-score lead in the 2nd half to just get outta there with the win. CJH is excellent at playing to his team's strengths and he showed last night that he has the utmost trust in this defense. He could've continued taking deep shots down the field, but that would've been an unnecessary risk with Nico.

Very proud of the VOLS last night. It may have been a 10 point win on the road in a hostile environment, but it felt like the VOLS dominated. A trip to the playoffs seems likely at this point. We can make a deep run if the offense keeps progressing and we stay healthy at the right spots. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol
