This week's line: Auburn by 7

I think UT wins. I thought last week too, I know, I just think UT can afford to stack the box to stop run against Auburn and fare better against their passing attack. I also don't see Auburn's d line creating as much chaos as Mizzou's or Bama. I very well may be just biased. I don't care. Whatever. Vols win next 3.

You need to call your sponsor and get back in the AA program!:neener2:

By the way we played Missou I'm suprised its not a lot more than that. It will change before the gm.

The opening line for the Auburn/UT game is TN +7. I really thought it would be more.

Will Marshall be back at QB for Auburn? If so, I would take Auburn to cover. Purely a business decision. I think we match up about as well with Auburn as we did Mizzou...not at all. But I'll still be there pulling for the Vols.

It's because the game is at Neyland. Were it at Auburn it would be 14.

We match up alot better against AU. AU doesn't have the D or front 7, especially on the D Line that Mizzou does. AU doesnt have receivers like Mizzou and its not like Marshall is a great passer, plus its at home.

Vegas just tryin' to move some money. That's all.

They are begging you to bet Auburn and most prob will, Vegas set it at 7 for a reason. We are night and day when it comes to playing at home and on the road. Tell me how many top 25 teams would play at Oregon, at UF, at Ala and at Mizzou and win 1 or 2to if they are lucky, muchless a team rebuilding with a whole new staff and new schemes on both sides.

This sounds about right. I think we are in Auburn's ballpark believe it or not.

Being at home especially, we couldn't beat them in AU with the way we play on D but for some reason this is a completely different team in Neyland, we should be undefeated at home. They just havent learned to play well on the road.

Yeah true. Being at home will be a huge help. Also, I've watched a few Auburn games this year. I think they def have weaknesses the coaches can capitalize on. Dobbs may even have a breakout game.

Agreed, we should be able to run on them too. We will have to score and should., i think they will get their rushing yards.

the line is based on the teams talent mostly, this team has underperformed for the last 2 games. I don't know the reason, but we have some good players who are not getting it done. Maybe, they will try a little harder vrs Auburn, maybe not. I am taking nothing for granted- who knows which team will show.

Chin up guys, Butch will get y’all to where you want to be in time, winning is in his genes. Y’all will be back atop that Rocky Mtn Top before you know it. Hard as it is, you have to be patient especially with a True Frosh at QB. Butch is driving the rig in the right direction though.

As much as I’d like to, I’m not taking this game for granted at all. I’m undecided as to how we’ll perform Saturday especially with it being a morning game. We’ve had a lot of breaks go our way to get to 8-1. I’m not sure if we’re that good or have just been lucky, catching other teams at the right time. Y’all could very well win this thang. My hs coach, Kodar Jones used to say,“We might be a little lanier in spots but we’re still gonna give em all we got.” He meant to say “lean” but we never dared to correct him. His point being that in games like this, records, stats, and rankings mean nothing. I look for this to be a close one.

IF we beat Auburn I will adopt the memory of a mosquito on the losses of Alabama and Missouri because 7 wins (given wins very Vandy & the Mild Cats) would be a huge step forward for this team.

Loses handedly to Auburn and look to lose 1 of last 2 games. 7,6,5. Big differences between those numbers.

Maybe our boys will think they have something to prove on Saturday.
