Holly was completely outcoached. No adjustments. Sounded like a moron in her nonsensical postgame interview. Can we please get a real coach???

Wrong. We need a better coach than Her. I do not see LSU dominating anything.

And there is the problem. There is no sure upgrade.

If it was easy to dominate then Pat wouldn't be as much of a legend as she is.

Thanks to Pat this program has the stature to attract a top tier coach.

And that special someone won.t have to follow a legend, thanks to Holly's role as a buffer.

At the moment I don't think LSU can get the recruits that UT can. This, I believe, is hampering Nikki's efforts at LSU. I don't think she would have that problem here. The problem with Nikki is I think she would be uncomfortable taking the job from one of her best friends.

If she wouldn't come, I still like the idea of going after Jeff Walz from Louisville.

Of course, none of this happens unless they buy out Holly's contract or she voluntarily steps down.

Jeff Walz or Matthew Mitchell (he was on Pat's staff years ago so he has TN ties)

Bashara Graves tweeted "she wish she was free to speak her mind". TIFWIW. I sense something is not right with the team.

I sense you're 100% correct. Graves has not been a happy camper so far this year and I don't think it is just because of the leg injury.
I feel so sorry for our players.
But all is not lost Vol fans, Our Lady Vols softball team is gonna rock!
Go LV's!

The coach that can bring us back is Wes Moore. He won numerous conference titles at Tennessee Chattanooga and beat Holly in her first game as coach with a team far less talented. Actually won going away not even close. He got the got at NC State this year and has already beaten LSU by ten points and compiled as 13 and 2 record with 2 and three star players. What he could do with five star talent would be astounding. I hope he gets the players at NC State because when he does he will win that conference title and that is one very tough conference.

The powers that be are not doing anything anytime soon. Let the season play out & then see what happens. Maybe that Graves tweet had something to say about the refs calling ticky tack fouls which added to the frustration of the players....who knows? I don't think anyone on this board is an insider & goes to LVs practice to see what's going on there. All we can do is speculate this or that. The coaches have to work the kinks out so let them do their job. The sky's not falling in on this team....yet.

Being a UTC alum I agree that Coach Moore is one heck of a coach. However, I am not sure that he has the high-profile name to attract the big time recruits. I don't think the administration would ever give him serious consideration.

Lady Vols would attract the big time recruits. And if he was successful. All of a sudden boom.

Tennessee tradition should get enough big names if we don't let it get run in the ground over the next few years. We probably have enough talent to make the final four this season. We do need a three point shooter or two on the team and a lock down defender on the perimeter.

Yes I agree that our name and tradition will attract the big time recruits. But for how long? We have a roster full of 5-star talent with the occasional high 4-star and yet we have now lost to an unranked team two years in a row. Do you think those high profile recruits will continue coming if these are the results we get?

It comes down to Holly not managing the team right. If you go look at the season stats you will see she has the wrong players taking a lot more shots than they should and also leading the team in turnovers. You don't even have to look at the season stats just look at the shot chart for the Vandy game. Were taking a lot of bad shots not working to players in the paint or taking very many mid-range shots. You can't fire up 17 threes and make three especially since the player shooting most of them is a career 30 percent shooter from that range.

I didn't feel in watching the players were confident in their attack on the zone. And of course as has been said no zone busters from outside in that game. And the elbow was also open for a player who could attack from that place.

But the game was lost in the first two minutes on the calls against izzy. I have frequently thought that I would not start particular players who were foul prone. Getting early fouls on Izzy was a major part of the game plan and it worked.

The bottom line in order for this team to be successful a lot of changes in strategy will have to be made. I don't expect Holly or these coaches to figure it out but we'll see.

Is it just me, or do UT fans call for their coaches to be fired more than other schools? Seems like it's the same no matter what sport. Haha
