I can't imagine a scenario where global climate change would wipe out humanity. The dude's 95 and senile.

humans already live in some of the most extreme environments on this earth. Thinking that we couldn't adapt to a climate change is a bit silly IMO

At least some of the world's population would be able to adapt/adjust to seemingly anything that climate could throw at us, one would think. For that matter, what couldn't at least some of the world's population adapt to? Comet collision?

to save the environment, i think libs and environmental whackos should volunteer to commit suicide. it would lower humans from killing the planet and help restock fossil fuels. they should make the ultimate sacrifice for their mother earth.

I would rather all obese people off themselves. More bang for your buck, even more fossil fuel, and cheaper health insurance. Wal Mart would go out of business but I'm willing to sacrifice.

humans survived the ice age. me thinks they can handle global warming.

In fact, we already have before.

There will be problems, and maybe populations could take a hit in growth or total, but humans are going to be a species of billions for the foreseeable future.

That shouldn't be for another (estimated) 4-5 billion years. So, presumably we've wiped ourselves off the face of the Earth or we've colonized other planets and have long since moved off of Earth.

Earth will be non-livable a long time before the Sun novas... if it does.

How long would it be? We'd not even have 8 minutes would we? I'd say within 3 the heat would be too unbearable.

My point was that by that point (if it novas... which it's predicted not to do) the Earth would have been completely unlivable for a very very long time.

And we're predicted to be beating Slovenia right now too.

I'm just throwing hypothetical out there. If the sun novas next week, how long after it starts it life on earth eradicated?

Or better - if 5 billion years if the sun novas, how long after it begins will earth be destroyed?

We should be beating Slovenia right now ( :) )....that was a horrible offsides call that negated the go-ahead goal.

That's depressing, why would you say Earth will be non-livable??

I'm not kidding, you should get out of DC more often to insure your sanity.

Donovan: U.S. victory 'stolen' by referee - International Football - Yahoo! Sports

We asked the ref many times who the foul was and he couldn’t explain it. I don’t know what to think about it, I can’t explain it and I don’t know how there was a call. We asked him numerous times in a non-confrontational manner and he just ignored us or didn’t understand.
