I for one, am glad to see Thomas leaving the league. I watched him live in the SECT twice, and he is definitely an athlete to be feared by opposing teams. He runs the floor like a gazelle, is big enough to play the post, is quick enough to play out on the floor and face the basket, and has some nice touch from 15' in. As he learns how to play and becomes more consistent, he is going to be a beast, IMHO.
I also think Davis gets a little bit of a bad wrap in his pro prospects. He is short for an NBA in-the-paint-guy, but he is so strong that he can make up for a lot of that by fighting for position. He has quick feet and a nice touch around the basket, and he handles it and passes it pretty well. He may not be a star at the next level, but I think he can contribute.
All-in-all, I was really surprised at the talent level I saw in Nashville, with these two guys, UF's sophomores, and Jamario Davidson topping the list (I didn't see Ronnie Brewer in person.) After all of the talk of a down year, I thought the talent was noticeably higher around the league than it has been for several years, altough a lot of it was young.
