Are you kidding me? To go through what this class has been through and still be here giving their all. They could have done what Kiffins recruits (and some fans) did and quit. They have put up with more than ANY former class yet still want to put on the T on Saturdays to give their all for Tennessee.

Some just wont accept that these are our best players right now. 6-6 season is still improvement from last year and a bowl game is good for this program right now.

That's just it. It doesn't appear that they are giving their all. Furthermore, this is about doing what it takes to make this program better down the road and that means playing all the young guys, no matter who's feelings it hurts right now.

Can we beat Vandy with the kind of effort we've given the last three weeks? Idk. 6-6 will be hard.

As bad as it sucks, we didn't get in this mess overnight and we won't get out of it either in that time frame.

Only reason a player should be benched (IMO) is repeated ineffectiveness at his position, lack of drive and intensity/ just not caring...I really haven't seen that out of our seniors...those poor guys have been through alot and they are still doing what they can for TN.

Have to disagree do not think they have given anywhere close to their best

Exactly and our last 3 games were against 3 of the best teams in football right now. Hard to keep your head on when your getting steam rolled and no matter how much effort you give your getting beat.

To be honest, I think even a 5-7 season is an improvement from last year. Yes, it is the same record, but we have had a much harder schedule than last year. We've finally gotten over the hurdle of beating a ranked opponent. Our defense has a LONG way to go, but they aren't as bad as they were last year, and the younger ones (ie Sutton, Reeves Maybin, Corey Vereen) show promise. Our offense lost basically all of our top playmakers (CP, Hunter, Bray, Rivera, Rogers). We've currently got the #2 recruiting class and are on track to finish top 5.

Overall, I'm satisfied with where we are and excited for the direction in which we're heading. We definitely require considerable improvement in several areas, but for the most part, we haven't quit after the first half. We haven't just rolled up into the fetal position. It's also encouraging to remember that Saban went 7-6 in his first season at Alabama, including a loss to Louisiana Monroe.

In all, we haven't really lost any games that we weren't supposed to. Yes, at the beginning of the season, we were going to beat Auburn and Mizzou. No one expected them to be where they are at. We've also won every game that we should have, including one (South Carolina) that we shouldn't have.

Stay positive. These next two games are pretty pivotal for us, and the team deserves and requires the full support of the fanbase.

What if we don't get to 6-6? Vandy beat UF by 17 today in the Swamp.

We got steam rolled by a team that threw three complete passes.

"When you're running the football just keep doing it. That's kind of who we're developing in to. I still believe we can throw the football. There's no doubt in my mind that we can but when you don't have to, there's a pretty good feeling when you can line up and run the football at will."

No, CBJ promised a bowl. No bowl = regression

I'm curious as to who you don't think has? I'm just saying don't bench them just to get younger guys reps, they deserve more than that. If anyone has quit, then I agree with you. Whose job is it to get maximum effort from the players?

I know one thing i'm about sick of the effort this team is putting in...when your younger kids are playing harder then senior(nfl draft stock) players something is terribly wrong. I know some players read this and hope they do...you are being gave a one in a lifetime chance not only for playing for one of the best schools in ncaa but going to nfl... yall need to dig a little deeper. I know yall went some hardtimes with Dooley etc but come on already if you don't do it for your team do it for yourselfs!! Give Yall For Tennessee!!

I blame dooley for this, why this guy was hired is nuts I personally think anyone in vfl could do a better job at coaching, recruit etc

I respect the seniors for what they've been through but we need to see what some younger guys can do and SOME seniors arent exactly playing great. Crowder, Kerbyson and Wiesman all need to play next year and this year is kinda shot so why dont we get them some reps. It was the fourth quarter and we're still playing our seniors. We're hurting ourselves for next year and if the young guys arent good enough to be on the field now, then we better sign 3 more OL that can play.

This team is no lock to win either game that's left on the schedule. They are not giving their all, and the upper classmen are the leaders at slacking. If they were they would incorporate what the coaches teach them to do into their heads and play the right way.

On every defensive play, every single play, there are guys that lose eye discipline, despite Butch and staff drilling it in their heads daily. Watch a replay and focus on individual players. You will see exactly what is going on. When you lose eye discipline you lose your assignment and where the ball is. You get confused and do stupid things. Ever watch our DE's when isolated? Comical. They look ridiculous. Like chickens with their heads cut off if not laying flat on their backs. Ever wonder why AJ never tackles a ball carrier head up? Because he cannot anticipate where the ball is, where it is going, or how to get in front of the play because he has no eye discipline. So he runs and tries to catch them from the side or behind. None of the safeties can recognize or anticipate what is being run until it out in the open away from them. Coleman does not have eye discipline because when he is supposed to look back for the ball he keeps running beside the receiver instead. The D-line stands up and shoves - they don't fire out and penetrate because they are clueless where the ball is going because they do not focus on their keys (eye discipline). The QB cannot read a D, throw on the run, throw a touch pass, and should not even be playing due to inexperience. He telegraphs his passes because...what? No eye discipline. He does know how to look off a defender.

I could go on but it would take all night, but I would rather watch two really good teams go at each other tonight.

I don't care if they are supposed to be the best or not, when Bullard committed 3 costly penalties in the first 1 1/2 quarters today he should have spent time on the bench. There should be consequences to repeatedly killing your teams momentum with stupid mental mistakes. Same for Byron constantly biting on the fakes, play after play, and topping it off with bad angles. Get them out of the game, even if it means the wa-wa-wa-water boy gets a few snaps.

Seems like one of the issues with this team might be that they know they are not going to be taken out bc of depth issues, so it's hard to reach them and get through to produce a different result.

So make a mistake and ride the pine? Im sure putting in freshman will eliminate the mistakes and make us unstoppable. CBJ is doing the best he can with what he has. Lets be honest our O-line is overrated and has been for quite some time.

Everyone needs some perspective and patience. Our program is on the rise and if you cant see that just gander over at recruiting sites. I remember not so long ago we dominated BAMA for several years in a row during the 90s. Florida was unstoppable not many years ago. Were coming back but its gonna take a few years of solid recruiting and stablity within the coaching department.

That's not what I said. Read first, then reply.

One player hurting his team with 3costly penalties in a short time frame. Yes you get him out of the game for a few plays. This is not Upward flag football.
