After watching the way patterson and ky's bigs were handled last night (albeit, partly due to meek's record night, they probably weren't the focal point of the offense) and Chism's offensive play down in the post has gotten better as the year has gone along. Does anyone else see this team needing to focus on more of an inside out type of offense? it seems when we made that run to cut it to 7, it was because we were working the inside and getting some hustle baskets underneath. Maybe scotty and tatum would be more consistent if they were spotting up off a pass from the low post instead of just coming off the flex...

Would be a great idea if after we cut it to seven in games like that, our inside guy didnt take the term "inside out" litereally and try to come knock down a three.

It is almost ALWAYS better to play inside out.

You get much cleaner looks and the shooter is facing the basket and ready to shoot.

Patterson is/was injured and that's a good part of why he was not scoring all that much and missing stuff he usually sinks..... but that's a different point.....

Yes, a team is always better off if they can get it in to the post, turn the defensive heads, and then pass out for a 3 if needed.
