Thoughts on#78 Ollie Lane

Josh was coaching like he wanted to expose how bad he is. Running up the middle, dropping Joe straight back, running QB draws.

He’s been a loyal hardworking kid for a long time. He’s not very talented, and he’s no match for the SEC defenses. He’s just out of his depth.

Let's see what happens when Coop gets back. Doesn't mean the OL will be good but he was a major problem tonight, as much as Milton and other areas.

I appreciate all the kid has done but he just isn’t good enough to play in the SEC. IMO he single handily cost us this game.

He’s playing better than I thought he’d ever play. Surprised he stuck with the program. Proud of the hard work he’s put in. We would be a worse team without him. Need to recruit better up front if we want to be better up front.

Four penalties and constantly getting beaten isn’t helping the team. He is. Knoxville guy and gives his all, but he is spot duty only. Our interior was getting mashed all game long.

Before the season started, I said we had serious OL issues, and they were worsened by losing Mays. It wasn’t a popular comment. Lane freaked out tonight, but he just doesn’t have the physical strength to block 300 pound dudes. We will get better when Mays returns, but this OL will never be great.

I underestimated the loss of carvin and Wright and the effect it would have this year. I really think most of issues start there before QB
