Just found an article posted on here by Brandon Oliver from November about Dixon and another DB from Texas, also committed to Baylor, and also possibly interested in the Vols. His name is Tyler Stephenson. The article was from November but said that both were looking around and both were looking at us. Obviously Dixon has now done more than look at us, but has anybody heard anything about this Stephenson kid? Maybe the two want to play together. Would we take another DB?

I'll hang up and listen...

Personally...I think they wanted Dixon and they'd love to get Wright and they'd only take another DB after those two if it was Robey, Dorsey, etc. They're saving spots for DL, OL, LB.

I think Meline and/or Marcques Dixon are destined for the DB as well.

I think we take Dixon, Dixon, Robey and be done with it. Teague, Meline, or Sims will be moving to DB imo...

Cool thanks. Just thought since he had shown interest in us that it might be a possibility. I agree that we need some more hog-mollies though.

man the way BSims moves with the ball in his hands, I hope they give him first crack on O.

I will be very content with the additions of Robey, Dixon, Dixon, and Meline to the defensive Backfield

I'd rather put Teague on D, Meline is probably the fastest WR in this class we got

For the first time in years, I am really excited about the return game next year (and the next few years). With Oku already proven to have home run potential, I like the sound of Robey, M. Dixon, or B Sims back there beside him! Speed kills and Kiffin knows it. He's going after it hard.

Also, I haven't kept up with the Dorsey recruitment lately. Do we have a shot with him? I'm not all that convinced he can play DB in the SEC, but he's got the speed to be a game changer. Thoughts?

Word.
I thought thats what helped sell his de-committment from Bama

Yeah seemed like exactly everything he was talking about was along the lines of ... "I wanna play for a team where i can showcase my offensive skills..."

I would hope the staff doesn't move Teague again and make him learn an entirely new position
:hi: I dont think they would move him unless they need to and believe in his abilitys. these coaches know their stuff and the players stuff as well.:good!:

Blake Sims decommited after CLK's visit due to BSims praying and deciding he wants to play on O not D like Bama was going to use him.

It sounds like he will replace Nuke for us after reading the AJC article. Sims and Oku back to catch punts

Back to DB's. Do any have the potential to be moved to LB? For example, I heard when D. Myles signed last year that he might grow into a LB (haven't heard that recently).

I personally think Myles will be our starter at SS. We'll see who starts at FS and corner. It depends on if one of the freshmen that comes in can handle it.
