I don't like to be negative, but I can easily see us losing this game. It's a must-win game for MSU and essentially the game that either puts them in the tourney or on the outside looking in.

If we can win, it would be huge for momentum purposes and it would definitely keep the team's spirit up as they hit the SEC Tournament. I also think a win solidifies us as a 4 seed at that point; it's currently split as to if we'll be a 4 or 5 seed right now.

I think MSU will win by something like 68-65, but we'll see how it turns out.

Wouldn't be shocked if we went down and got beat or blew them out by 15+

If we're really that worries about a team on the wrong side of the bubble, why does anyone care about our dance seeding?

It does seem like the last few times we've went on the road in these types of games, it's either been a 15-20 point victory or a 15-20 point loss, never something in between.

It really wouldn't surprise me if we got blown out, lol. We play terrible on the road.

We do in certain games like the Vandy/UGA/Florida road games, but we've played good enough on the road in the South Carolina/Memphis games. Considering neither will be an NCAA Tourney team, that's not saying much.

I suggest you get Chism's, Prince's and Maze's cell phone numbers. Go over to the "Dawg Pound" Message Board and start a thread disclosing their numbers while pretending to be an MSU student. Works like a champ.

I'd settle for posting Wayne's number, he'd be the most pissed off out of the three.

If the VOLS start strong, I don't think there will be anything to worry about. A good start could take the heart out of MS. A slow uninspire start however could spell doom for the Vols.:whistling:

They haven't played very well on the road. It wouldn't be a shock to see them lose this game.

Thoughts? Very tough game. MSU plays well at home.

i like our matchup in this one. but if you have followed this team, you know there is no telling what you get.

we need to extend and disrupt their outside shooting early - something we have been good at doing recently. but if they get it going, they will be very tough to beat - they rely heavily on 3 pointers for their scoring. we need to drive the ball to the rim and draw fouls. it's one reason Auburn beat them the other night. Plus, MSU is not very deep.

Yeah, they aren't deep so I think we come out running...I think Maze can handle Bost defensively and he is the key to their offense. I hope Chism has a great game and dominates Varnardo, that will definitely be a key matchup. I honestly think we win this one. GBO

No way we beat them badly. We are great at home and at times terrible on the road. And the magnitude of this game to MSUs resume is huge. I have a feeling we are going to get beat soundly.

Winning Saturday won't lessen the stench of Mississippi State's resume. Even if they win Saturday, they have to win at least one game in the SEC Tournament to even have a case for a bid.
