At least we know Butch watches film. Went straight out and got a CB with speed. The biggest need on our team.

We don't really know what Reeves-Mabin is. It is difficult to say whether he was better running with the ball on offense or playing defense. He could be Tim Tebow, a linebacker, or a safety. The only thing we can be sure of is that he'll play. EE won't help unless his shoulder heals by Spring.

Maybe not for practice purposes. But him getting acclimated with the campus, classes, team and playbook early can only be positive.

By the way CBJ & Staff already looking to 2014...

Wharton receives Vol offer

Another instate junior added a Tennessee scholarship Friday when Nashville athlete Vic Wharton received one when talking to tight ends coach Mark Elder and head coach Butch Jones.

Here's how DB recruiting sale job went...

"Hey young man, how would you like to come to UT and be the starting DB."

I know it's the dead period, but any news on Von Bell? Imagine if we get him as well, with this class, could be monsters in the D-backfield! Go get em Coach Jones!

Coleman was a promising player. He was absolutely eating up Hunter and DaRick in practice and scrimages last year. Perhaps UT hasn't had a scheme or coaches who can get the most out of players. I know Jancek's philosophy is simple scheme so the players can just play without getting mental cramps. It happens more than you think. Do you really think Prentiss Wagner regressed that much after playing extremely well? Heck no.

Agreed 100% he's an nfl safety build no doubt. But his tackling is atrocious!!! Best db tackler all season was toney guy never missed.

Its going to pay eventually. There were times last year our defensive backfield looked lost in Sals schemes
