With all due respect to reality TV :yuck: , the best program on network television for the past 8 years draws to a close on Sunday.

I am genuinely going to miss this show. Haven't been so addicted to a TV show since MASH! Well written, well shot, well edited, well acted.

Any other fans?

It's a well put together show. I can't stand about 90% of the political stands they take, but I still enjoy the show.

I do think though that the last couple of seasons have been a stretch at best. The show lost believability when the President elevated his Press Secretary to Chief of Staff.

That I think, is one of the shows great accomplishments. To my mind they try to say in a non-partisan way, hey, this is what leadership Could look like.
Government officials can be human beings with faults, and still be effective leaders. And even if you would stand against their politics, you can surely accept that their intent is noble.

I watch and often wish we could have in real life the kind of public discourse that is so well scripted into that hour...

By the way, I understand if the show had continued another season the republican candidate (Alan Alda) would have won. It would have been really interesting to see the show with a White House that leaned toward the Red!

I have liked the show this past season. It's really the only time I have watched it.

Alda was excellent.
