Get in Ticket Prices for potential home playoff games per TickPick:

Penn State: $195
Ohio State: $252
Georgia: $344
Texas: $380
Notre Dame: $464
SMU: $577
Tennessee: $810

one is different from the others…..

This is the secondary market with people already putting up their season ticket allocation up for sell to the game.

If the game doesn’t happen then you get a refund.

Ticket prices will skyrocket once matchups are announced. I almost pulled the trigger @ the horseshoe but we could end up going to Penn State. The committee basically said teams not playing can’t improve seeding, so we won’t host.

That's not quite what they said. They said that teams not playing cannot improve relative to each other. So, Miami who trails Alabama cannot overtake Alabama because neither team plays this weekend. But teams that are playing can slide after a defeat, which means that a team like UT could move up if the committee chose to drop a Georgia or PSU, for example. Whether they will drop a losing PSU or Georgia below UT or not is unknown.

That’s statistically impossible for teams not playing for the seeding to not change. Unless the are suggesting an SMU loss doesn’t automatically qualify a Clemson team who currently isn’t in the playoff from making the playoffs? If Clemson is an automatic qualifier then a team currently in the playoffs will no longer be in the playoffs which means they will take the place of a non automatic qualifier which would be Alabama because Arizona State or Iowa State will take the 12th spot. There is a zero percent chance they rank a two loss SMU ahead of a one loss Indiana or a one loss Boise State. It’s nonsensical

If I was a betting man I would bet a lot that has zero chance of happening in either case.

If they keep their word, then the loser (except Clemson) of the conf
correct...they said they can't improve or lower their seeding relative to other teams that aren't playing
And in his post-show news conference Tuesday night, Manuel, the Michigan athletic director, made it pretty clear that evaluations of teams that aren’t playing on Friday or Saturday aren’t going to change with a few more days of reflection, citing No. 7 Tennessee and No. 9 Indiana.

And hotel prices are skyrocketing as well according to a column by Allison Kiehl in today's News Sentinel.
