Has anyone noticed the prices on these tickets this year? This is absolute garbage. 70-90 face value on lower level SEC games, and i saw a Kentucky and Auburn ticket face value lower level 200 damn dollars and 170 for Texas?!?! Screw ticketmaster too by the way. I guess im not buying basketball anymore. Maybe road games they will be much cheaper.

Why don’t you buy season tickets….upper 500/mid $1,000/lowers $1,500 season ticket options for 16 home games…$31.25/$62.50/$93.75.
You could sell your UK tickets and pay for like a 1/3 or 1/4 of your season ticket cost lol.

Also OP doesn't know what supply and demand is I guess.

Have a good program = higher demand and higher ticket cost

Have a dumpster fire program like in the past = lower demand and cheaper ticket cost

I think I'll go with the better program option.

Exactly…people complained about party deck in football and the cost changes for that as well, guess what, football is selling out and ticket demands haven’t been as high as they currently are in quite awhile.

Yes they are expensive, but the Kentucky game is already almost sold out and the season hasn't started yet. The more people that want tickets, the higher ticket prices will be.

He’s almost certainly pricing in response to demand, but also to spur season ticket sales. If the price is too high you will be able to get the tickets for less after market. And if it’s really too high they won’t sell at all.

You definitely have to adjust your expectations on the price of tickets period post-COVID(have you looked at concerts/festivals?) Overall I'm happy with my haul, snagged tickets for Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas at face and will probably go ahead and get UK tickets as resale tickets are still <$100 atm and I want to be there when that building gets loud as hell for Chris Lofton.

TBA will be top 5 in attendance once again this year.

Supply and demand. You can have successful sports teams, or you can have cheap tickets. Take your pick.

(By the way, I still think that's ridiculously cheap considering what I pay to go to dinner and a movie and the comparative experiences).

Have you been asleep the last two years? It’s not Danny White fault that inflation has skyrocketed like it has. All the upgrades that was done this year would have been half the amount had it been done 4 years ago. Material like wood and steal has tripled. It even cost more to have all the merchandise and concession brought in. If UT is paying $2 for a hotdog they not gonna sell it for $1 because of what it was 4 years ago.

College sports are now a business. High prices are a direct result of supply & demand. Stinks for a lot of us but UT is making hay while they can I suppose
You are correct it is supply and demand. Problem is DW is DEMANDING too much!

Car owners pay 5or 6 dollars a gallon for gas, smokers pay 7 dollars per pack of cigarettes name brand not the cheap ****, and sports lovers will pay no matter the cost the way the world works.

And by any intelligent prognosticator ....We aint seen nothing yet with inflation! Unbelievable where we've gone in such a short amount of time!

Supply and demand. Sports has always been a business. I remember people complained about NFL prices in the 80’s and 90’s for Washington Redskins’ games.

Season tickets are more affordable today thanks than they were ten plus yrs ago.

They're more affordable, but they're still not at the point that the average fan can afford IMO.

You all said that you tee would never pony up for a top level coach. They did it.
Then you turned around and said UT paid too much for our top level coach. But he just keeps winning and recruiting.
Then when we're hanging around the top 10 every single year and you really get excited about basketball, we get butt hurt because the ticket prices go up to pay for it all.
Tennessee appears to be willing to establish it's basketball program at the very top of the NCAA. I doubt that too many are worried about mediocrity coming back in order to keep ticket prices down.
