I'm planning on attending this game with my wife in NYC (Barclays Center - Brooklyn) on December 11th and I'm not sure of the best way to go about getting tickets. Will the University have an allotment of tickets, and if so would they good seats? Tickets are available on-line but I'd like to be around other Vols if possible. I haven't been to this type of event before so looking for some guidance.

A couple of years back (2018), I did the NIT Tip Off over Thanksgiving in NYC and took the train up from Virginia. We played Louisville and Kansas. I got my tickets (covered all 4 games) on Ticketmaster through a link I found on ESPN’s website. I got upper deck seats but was moved down both games and they closed the upper seats because maybe 25% capacity showed up. It was still a great time watching the Grant and Admiral team play. The local alumni chapter also had Vol Cookies and a fan send off at the team hotel. I will say drinks and food at concessions were the highest I ever paid at an event, so I recommend eating before or after the game. Have fun and Go Vols!

Sounds like fun, I'm looking forward to it.
