Tickets for the LSU game

It is easy to be misguided by the ticket charts for seating. They have not put most of the upper deck tickets for sale, just the lower rows of the upper decks. So, tickets in those sections looking sold-out just means the lower rows. They may decide to put some more upper deck tickets on sale, which could increase the attendance further. My best guess (and I follow these things closely), is about 15,000 but could be higher with an enormous student turnout like they had last year for UCONN. Regardless, it should be rocking if we do well!

I think there will be around 15K, which to me is a perfect basketball crowd. That will fill the lower plus a bit of upper overflow. UConn last year was right at 14K and that was a midweek game. A key will be if they can get those students back like against SC, and I believe they will. Had clearly put alot of effort in that for the SC game, almost all the students had LV jerseys. They really ramp the energy up.

It will help attendance that the game is on a Sunday. I may be misremembering, but it seems like over the last few years a lot of Tennessee's biggest games have been on weeknights.

The ticket office rep I spoke to earlier today said they were selling upper deck tickets. 15,000 would be reaaaalllly loud if the team shows some spark, 'cause it can be pretty darn loud with only 8 or 9 thousand when games are competitive.

They must be expecting a pretty big crowd....

Good Afternoon!

I wanted to send a quick update on gate timing for the Lady Vols vs. LSU game at 12:00 PM on Sunday, February 25. Gates will now open 90 minutes early at 10:30am, instead of the traditional 60 minuets prior to tip. The Harper Auto Courtside Club will open at 10:30 AM as well.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday and Go Lady Vols!
