Starts his season in the Buick tomorrow. His coach, Hank Haney, says Tiger's game is in the best shape he has ever seen it. With a seventh straight PGA Tour victory up for grabs this weekend, that is truly a scary thought.

Y'all chime in on the soon to be father's number of wins and majors this season, and whether he wins this FedEx Cup deal.
I'll try to remember to dig this thread up next Fall and see how we fared....

FedEx Cup... I'm not sure he plays enough tourneys to rack up points in this deal, but if he wins to his average, 40% I think, he'll be the first champion ever at this thing.

Majors... No Masters, wins at US and British..Top5 at PGA

Wins... I'll say 6, plus the two majors, so 8...

I'll go with the same # of tour wins (6) and the Masters and PGA Champ. (same total - 8)

what he does in other majors this year will depend on what he does in the Masters.

i think if he wins the Masters, he could win them all. no win at the Masters and he only wins 2.

Fun to watch. He goes into every Major favored or put in the mix to win it. He'll compete and hopefully has good weekends in all of them.

I hope his driver is up for the US Open...:)
The British proved that he can always reach for that 2iron. Tiger shot the old maxim "even God can't hit a 2iron" straight to... well, hell.... at the British last year...

*By the way, the new av just doesn't seem like it belongs with you...

he doesn't play enough for the fedex (and he doesn't care).. whens 2-3 majors, seven events total. did anyone see cold pizza today w/ the commercial he shot? some guy takes his golf clubs and he straight up chases him down and tackles him. it was hilarious. i look for duval to have a serious year. not like he was before, but he'll be in contention for a lot of tourneys this year.

Tiger started on the back nine at the North Course... he's +2 thru 3 holes. Rocky start.

first nine complete...-3
3birdies, two bogeys, and an eagle. Just another day at the beach...

I think Woods will go down as not only the most dominant golfer, but also the most dominant athlete of our time. He'll be in league with the likes of Gretzky and Jordan.

Has anyone seen that Nike commercial where Tiger takes out one of their cameras??

There's a place called the Glider Port right next to (to the south) of Torrey Pines. They show it occassionally during the broadcast. It's a big grass field on the top of the cliffs. People parasail and handglide by walking right off the cliff. They can then sail up and down the coast - down towards La Jolla or up towards Del Mar.

The amazing thing is they can fly right back to the Glider Port! It's pretty amazing to watch.

Yeah, that tackle is pretty funny :eek:lol:

Duval? He's still around? We havn't heard from him in awhile. I remember people used to say that Duval was the only cat that could give Tiger a run for his money.

Duval suffered from vertigo and that was one of the primary reasons for his decline but supposedly he's over it now and has all his balance back. He made some Friday and Saturday runs late last year to get his name mentioned. I don't think he can take down Tiger anymore, but every couple of weeks he could show up w/ another score in the low 60's. wouldn't be surprised to see him bust out another 59.
