Dear Tim Maymon,
If your son comes to TN you must understand that we have more wannabe coaches in the stands and on the message boards than they do at Marquette. Bruce Pearl will not allow you to sit on the bench, he will be the coach and you will be a parent. That has worked out well for some kids, even ones with dads who are coaches like JP Prince.

If the first thread is true, frankly I do not want your son here. It sounds like the second is true, and that means you need to grow up some before bringing your child here to play basketball. Mike Hamilton will not meet with you so you can explain what to do with your son. We are not freaking Arkansas with Frank Broyles. You are not an in state hot shot.
All of that said your son looks to me to have lots of basketball skills that can help TN. He is at a position of need and it is not center. He will be playing with Tobias Harris and Kenny Hall in a very talented front court. You know Bruce Pearl from his UWM days. If he can take a Ryan Childress and make him a serviceable player, he can help your son get to the NBA if he listens well and plays hard.
The only other guys who we are recruiting still who could compete with your son for PT in that class are
NC BF/C Luke Cothron
AL WF Josh Langford
NC BF/WF C.J. Leslie
and GA BF Deonte Williams
and it looks like we will not get any of them.
Dominating Wisconsin bball in HS is not the same thing as dominating Atlanta or Memphis HS and does not mean you are ready to follow Lebron to the NBA. Your soon looks like he may be very skilled and he needs some time to enjoy college, grow into a man and develop his basketball skills against tough players. TN plays a very tough OOC schedule every year (this is a typical year with opponents like Memphis, Purdue, Kansas) and has lots of televised opportunities (more than Marquette) where your son will shine. I hope you will give him that opportunity. I also hope you will visit him and support him, but will not move down here and dominate him. It will catch up to you if you do, it tends to create kids with problems (Tiger Woods).
