Tim Simon, a RB/LB 3 star from Cordova, AL
6'1 210 lbs
Scout ranks him the #33 LB, Rivals ranks him #43 RB.
Won a 3A state championship last year.
Offers from UT, Bama, Auburn, Miss St, UAB

I am hardly ever privy to inside recruiting info, but I heard from some sources close to him that we have a very good shot landing this kid.
Two of my closest friends graduated from Cordova High School. One has since moved back there, the other one was Tim Simons academic mentor (tutor?) when he was a freshman. Cordova is a tiny town, and they know him and his family very well.
Both of these guys are huge Auburn fans, and were very excited that their hometown athelete was originally heading there. Apparently AU has retracted their offer and are not recruiting him at this time. Both my friends went home last weekend to watch Cordova lose to Hartselle and talked to Simon's cousin. What the cousin said is that at this time, UT is his favorite. So take it for what its worth, but a 6'1 200 lb. LB would be a good pickup.
Maybe Rex has some info on this kid, if so please share.
