I have tried to support this guy, really have. He has seemingly screwed up everything he has touched.

Hiring Bruce Pearl has been his saving grace, well he no longer has that hire to hang his hat on.

Factor in all the mistakes he has made with Fulmer, giving him an extension and raise for 8 wins. The timing of Fulmer's resignation falls on him as well.

Hiring Lane Kiffin was a very bold move, one that bit him on the ass. No one could have predicted that he would leave after one year, then again, he could have protected UT with a bigger buyout clause.

Some will say that his handling of the Kiffin situation and the hiring of Dooley are huge mistakes, remains to be seen IMO.

Oh yeah, Todd Raleigh sucks too.

agree but when you're hiring and you're conducting interviews and the candidate says their dream job is coaching USC, you take it seriously whether it will happen or not. No one expected Pete to leave. But he did. Kif told MH he would leave and he did. Cheaply none the less.

He screwed up giving Fulmer an extension, he screwed up the firing. He screwed up the hiring of the next coach and UT has nothing to show for it except emails trying to get us to pay big bucks for seats to cover the cost of an expensive stadium renovation. Get him out.

It's getting worse...there is a very good chance that we get hit with a lack of institutional control penalty. IMO.

I have tried to think of something that I like about what he has done and I really got nothing.
I like what is going on at Neyland but anyone could do that.

Fulmer fans....pathetic.

During a recession and during a horrible time period of UT history in football he kept the program massively profitable and upgraded all the facilities.

Plus he hired Bruce Pearl and no matter what corndog John Adams says that means something...Dooley will probably not go down as the "best" coach in program history like Pearl to mens bball, but he is a good one.

Hamilton is preventing the IC penalty.

Your many threads and posts to fire him will be as ineffective as the fools who have been trying to get Fulmer in for so long.

Again, and not to stalk you from forum to forum, but it just strikes me as odd that a guy who is so aggressively righteous would care more about "keep[ing] the program massively profitable" than all the embarrassing arrests and other Sportscenter fodder than we've endured in the last few years. Something is clearly broken in the culture of UT athletics. Yet you're willing to give the guy in charge of it a pass because he's good at raising money?

I could care less if Fulmer is the AD.

Every few months the vols are in the news for something negative. Arrest, investigations, suspensions, etc... All of that Falls under the Athletic Dept. Now alot of this may not directly be Hamilitons fault but as the Head of the Athletic dept. HE IS RESPONSIBLE.

Thats how it works. He gets the credit if the program is clean and everything is going great. He takes the fall when it doesn't. He must be fired.

I will not support this thread until someone says something that begins with "Even though I don't care that Bruce Pearl is Jewish........"

Doing one helluva job keeping us profitable. We only make about 5 million a home game. We had a dedicated fanbase long before Hammy.

What about the enormous buyout for Fulmer? What about the lack of a buyout from Kiffin?

Would you not say that both incidents are costing UT?

UT will make money no matter the AD, tends to happen when you seat 100,000.
