White has been a dropping machine this year, give Chaz Nimrod more reps.

Brazzell has done jack **** against actual competition, get the stud freshman Mike Mathews some run.

It can’t just be Donte Thornton as a the only deep threat.

And we have three good TEs, where were they today? USE THEM

Forgot to mention Bru. He hasn’t done much either. So our stud WR crops are overrated as well? What has happened to this team since 2022??

It was the same dynamic last year. Young guys (nimrod etc.) show a lot of promise but the incumbent starters get all the reps. I don't think we are going to see squirrel again any time soon, but he hasn't played well at all to start the year.

But he can’t even get on the field in the NFL

Doesn’t really matter. He was damn good in college,
Get Matthews on the field already.

These Wrs have been overhyped and overrated for 2 straight years.

Then again, it all comes back to Golesh leaving for USF.

If Golesh is OC this year, what’s different about the offense? I’m so tired of hearing this take. What would be different?

We might actually call slants, intermediate pass plays, with more deep routes to stretch the field vs. the same 3 plays (run up middle, WR screen at LOS, sideline out 15 yds or less).

100 percent agree, our playmakers are sitting on the bench

Offense has been on a decline since Golesh left.
Hooker was also here then.

I agree with the OP though, our WRs have sucked this year outside of a few splash plays. We have to find a guy that can be depended on for consistent separation and play making ability.

When you trot Bru on to the field with a heavily taped/gloved hand with 2 fingers taped together plus Thornton with a banged up leg out there given the lack of protection Nico gets, it makes you question just how talented/ready our WR room really is. One can look at Matthews and Brazzell and see guy who might not be up to speed on how this offense operated, but honestly, I don't see the talent at the position right now.

Scheming maybe?
I don't know but I said last year the play calling was off.
Our WR corp at least on paper should be putting up numbers
We have a top 10 5* QB
We have some good TE's that should be getting touches every game
RB Sampson and Bishop are deadly
Yet we're not really mixing up the play calling and it seems very vanilla
I'm going to sit on the Golesh was scheming our guys into success. We got the talent to do it

Not joking when I say I feel like I've been watching Fisher ball.

The entire offense needs to be benched. Why were at it Heup needs to come up with more than 6 or 7 plays.

Bru is not the problem. Thornton is not the problem. Beyond that, there is some responsibility that can be shared by the rest of WRs, TEs, and Coaches for the lackluster play. White is the one that irks me the most. He gets targets every game and makes squat out of those opportunities. The offense needs to look elsewhere for a playmaker. Bru is coming off a terrible injury plus he was basically a one-armed man in a boxing match last night. Thornton got banged up too. From there, someone in the WR corps should have stepped up and didn't.

Is that coaching or scheme or maybe the rotation needs to slim down? The NIL is gonna be evil to all programs. Once these players get their money, they lose determination.
