This is pretty funny. If the 2 parties were able to disregard any of the first 10 amendments with which they disagree, we would only have 1 amendment in bill of rights.

No, it is, but that video is flat out retarded. It's cool to make fun of partisan politics, but you gain nothing in watching it.

I guess the constitution isn't as interesting as I think it is.

I thought it was funny.

Both parties pay lip-service to the constitution and then ignore it. The only time they look at it is to try and twist it to justify whatever they wanted to do anyway.

Somewhere along the way people got the idea that the bill of rights exists to list our rights. What crap. Our rights are multitudinous and inherent. The BoR is exists only to forbid the government explicitly from abridging the what was considered the most fundamental rights. That is the point of the 9th:

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

How many times have you heard someone say: that's not a right, the constitution doesn't say anything about it
