IF we cheat and get caught, it only delays the rebuilding process even more. Additionally, we are on probation as well. Look at Butch's track record and you can see that his teams make a significant amount of progress from year one to two. With the caliber of players he is bringing in, it will not be long before we are competing for the east.GBO!

You Act like Auburn was signing a bunch of scrubs. Go back and see for yourself where they were finishing in the recruiting rankings. I can't believe three posters liked your original post. Get the ban hammer.

Without Cam Newton they finish behind Bammer and LSU in the west and everybody knows it.

YeaH but they are currently in the top ten, obtain a 7-1 record, and will probably finish with 9 or 10 wins. Most of the guys on the roster are Chizik recruits.

See my previous post. We will need at least 3 to 4 more top 5 classes to right this ship. Not very good odds of that after we have another 6 win season next year. Plus nobody has signed anything yet. Cheating is our best option if you want to watch a winning football program at UT.

Good point actually. We just need to kick it up a gear or two to Auburn's level. No way any recruit wants to live in Auburn unless they are getting paid. Place sucks!

It is extremely naive to think that boosters from most major BCS programs aren't already getting cash to players, including UT. Also, where do you think all those "authenticated" signed helmets of college stars that pop up on eBay in season come from? Players already get paid, some more than others.

Ironically I'm against paying players legitimately. I sort of like to kidd myself that these are "amateur" athletes. But we do need to up our game on the cheating front. We probably need a few more criminals too (as long as KPD and campus police will let it slide). Seemed to work in the 90s.

I'd rather not even have a football team than suffer through 6 win seasons. The up-side is too attractive here. Cheating makes the most sense. So let's find the next Cam Newton and pay up.
