I missed the game and have paged through about 100 screens worth of posts trying to find some discussion on how these two did against each other - could someone synopsize, or point me to a good thread for it? TIA.

A good day it was!

Clown boy got the best of Tiny a few times but Tiny was the only one of them that went home a MF'n WINNER! That is all.

If we had lost, there would have been some comments on here about Tinys performance. Not so much about his performance against Clowney but the penalties.

Tiny came out to hyped up. Clowney made some big plays early. Tiny settled down and clowney's name was not called much in the second half.

Tiny played way to intense early. He was trying to go after Clowney instead of letting him come to him. He settled down and owned the second half

Tiny lost the battle but won the war. I thought he did pretty good seeing how he was matched up with the best defensive player In college football in yrs. GO VOLS!

Clowney put all the doubts to rest that he was overrated or slipping in the draft. He can play when he wants to play. (which would concern me if I were a GM but proves he has the ability and hasn't "lost" anything)

Tiny made some what I think were mental errors. I think he was understandably nervous as it was such a big opportunity for him. He didn't do as well as last season but he came through on the game winning drive, and that is no small thing. He will be fine. More importantly, Vols win!

In Clowneys post game interview he said just Worley closed his eyes when he threw the long ball to north, lol "I was looking him right in the face" lol I just thought it was funny the way he said it.

Basically what Clowney said: "Worley can beat us with his eyes closed".

I think Clowny added a LT to the Vols 2014 roster. Completely outplayed tiny. Tiny needs to grow up and stop the BS penalities. Wish tiny had the maturity of the other guys on the OL.

B.S Penalty's? get That crap out of here .... They could call holding, illegal use of hands every single play. The Lined up in the back field was a fluke call even the play by play guy said Tiny was lined up the same way the next play and wondered what the difference was. It's not easy being a big man and stepping back while a future first round DE is charging at full speed. I'm proud of Tiny and Thought he played well!

WHen Clowney Lined up over James He pretty much stopped Clowney in his tracks... I know LT is a big Deal to many ()The Blind Side() But we have a damned good RT too!

Richardson did a great job. Clowney beat him a couple of times but for the most part it was a Tiny win. The big problems came when UT tried to run the ball outside of Clowney. That didn't work. Pass protection I would grade Tiny in the high 90's. Runs that went to the right or inside the left tackle, he gets an 80.

Go back and watch the replay. A lot of Clowney's "highlights" were because Tiny blocked down and nobody blocked him. Bad play design when playing a DE with that much quickness. When Tiny attempted to block him he was out of the play unless he was running it down 5 yards up field. He needed help on a few plays but nobody can be 100%.
