Some of you just really don't know how to fan. You thought we would glide across the heights of the hardest conference in football. You thought winning on the road was pretty easy.

Nico is a freshman quarterback. He's 5 - 1 as a starter.

The team did not look good last night. Now we have joined the ranks of Georgia, Ole Miss, Bama, LSU and the other 1 loss SEC teams that are still in the mix.

It's a long season. Some of you have no idea how to ride the roller coaster. Learn how to fan. Bombs away!

I think most of us were simply promised this year would be different and yet here are seeing the same major red flags that made us wonder if Heupel could ever since hardware.

We all thought this team was better than the performance we saw. Even commentators were talking yesterday prior to the game about how TN is a title contender. Not with this type of play. We won’t even make the playoffs

Also I get Nico has only started 6 games, but he’s also been on campus being with the team and coached since Dec 2022.

Save it. We lost to a pedestrian SEC team. It is inexcusable.

One loss does not define the season in the SEC. This one stings, but there are many more big game opportunities ahead of the Vols. Let's see how that goes before we write them off.

Glide across the conference? No.

Beat inferior teams that keep giving the game away? Yes.

And it really feels like Heupel was putting all his eggs in this year's basket. Imagine all the experience gone next year and even worse OL play/depth.

That's it. Dear Lord at next year. 80% of both lines gone.
Who knows, may be a good thing. This was setting up for 2026 with Nico as a jr and most young lineman as jr/sr with some young playmakers older and experienced

Well we are going to get our wish that Nico plays 3 years.

Stop making sense. That won’t go over well here.

I’m ticked we lost. It was a BAD loss. Several units played bad and they don’t ready or motivated except to start the second half where we saw some fire.

BUT

Some of the fans here act like middle school girls throwing a tantrum. I get being pissed but omfg 😳 I mean pure hissy fits. Like seriously embarrassing themselves.

If you’re gonna be upset be upset like a rational man not some skirt

I get what you're saying--and Arkansas is not a bad team. They're a mid-tier SEC program and it's year 4 under Heupel. It's time to start beating teams you're supposed to beat.

Not sure why some people on here look for any chance to take a shot at women. Says more about you than it does about women 😉

Nice try. Problem is, we have some fans who don't want to hear anything remotely akin to common sense, but nice try. Also, what you say, has been said before. You can't cure the willfully ignorant.

What are you 12 yo? That crap has been happening for the last two decades.

The facts are it’s harder to win this conference than ever before and harder to win a national title as well. You have better teams throughout the conference than you’ve had at any point in the past. Kentucky got smoked by Carolina, then proceeds to almost upend Georgia then does take down Ole Miss. Vandy beats Bama. Carolina beat LSU if not for atrocious calls by the officials. Fact is you cannot sleep walk through any game anymore or you go home with an L.

Last night pissed me off as much as anyone but Heupel is still the most successful coach since Fulmer. He recruits at a high level, generally we compete at a high level. Last night sucked, it was a failure by staff and players all the way around. It doesn’t define this season unless this team allows it to. Hopefully the taste of defeat is something they needed to get them focused.

Don’t just post **** that’s not true. Next year our depth at OL gets better. This year was always gonna come up short bc of that OL depth and depth in the secondary. Where did you get this info from 😂😂 bc it’s absolutely wrong.

Most people promised themselves this team was special and guaranteed blowout wins before the games even started. This team is not a top 5 or maybe even 10 team. Problems abound on defense and offense - we just didn’t play anybody that could expose them until last night. Probably 2 or more losses left unless major improvements are made at qb, OL, LB, safety and play calling.

To be fair, we patched some of the OL with transfers like Heard. To say all the "eggs are in the basket" for this year is a little silly. I thought 2025 would have been a possible better year than this year with Nico having more experience.

I was just hoping for a 10-2 season and CFB Playoff experience. That is going to be challenging now. I thought 9-3 would be a possibility. Arkansas was the archetype "trap" game coming into the season and we feel for it. I thought the Bye week would avoid it but was wrong. The offense is bad and "not fun" to watch right now so that is a major red flag but to expect a title this year was over expectations for this team IMO and I am not sure we are going to be that "worse" next year. Offensive lines are traditionally the one position where stars and recruiting rankings don't mean as much. Teams with weaker "perceived" lines typically have it work out better. Look at how Vandy's O-line dominated Alabama yesterday for example. O-line is a lot about coaching and how they play together.

Our defense will keep us in every game this year but man does our offense need to figure things out. It starts with better play calling. We have gaps on our offense so scheme around those gaps. We did that in 2021 and 2022 but it has fallen off in 2023 and 2024 for some reason.
