Tired of teams converting on 3rd and half-mile

The ability (or lack of our Defensive Coaches ability) of our opposing teams to covert a long 3rd down has been a total embarrassment this year. Why are we playing off of the receivers at least 12 to 15 yards and more on long 3rd down conversions? The UF game was a total bust on this statistic allowing UF to convert their long 3rd downs and a 2nd and 22 conversion on a RUN???? BANKS has got to get this fixed. Or he needs to move on! This was so glaring. Everyone sees it and is so obvious!!!!

On another subject... get rid of CooperMays. Tired of Heuple lying about his availability every other game and he doesn't play. Even when he does play, get claims he's hurt again. Tired of him taking up a scholarship.

This year? What have you been watching the last 2 years? Even going back to Ansley it was dicey.

You realize that Cade Mays, who plays for the Carolina Panthers, is not the same person as his brother Cooper Mays, right? I’m in full overreaction meltdown mode myself, but you’re on another level. Get a grip.

Forget playing off the receivers - it should be a freaking international war crime to rush three linemen on 3rd and a half-mile situations. Like, full regalia, march-them-out-onto-the-floor-of-the-International-Court-of-Justice, broadcasted-on-every-television-on-the-planet war crime. Every time I see a team, any team, send three guys when the offense needs more than 12 yards on 3rd down, I want to commit acts of genocide against my television.

All an average QB needs to make good throws is time. And unless you're lining up Big John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth, sending 3 is more or less saying "take all the time you want." It's maddening. Utterly maddening.

I’m just a little confused about the “we’re going to play elite defense”. When? Not only is it not elite but it’s not good.

Totally agree Voltopia..... why give them all friggin day to make a huge play is like doubling down on a hard 12 in blackjack. It's like what we and LSU had in 3rd and Chavis.

Who is the CB coach? Martinez

Are the CBs good? No

Who is the DC and Safeties coach? Banks

Are the Safeties and defense as a whole good? No

What would that tell you needs to happen?

Nah. He wouldn't have made a bit of difference with the defense and Milton is gonna be Milton no matter who snaps him the ball. Might have give him a little more time, but that wouldn't have made much difference with him.

My fishing curse, I caught a nice bass recently, had a good trip to Florida in June, but usually not so much luck 🤣
