First stage? First stage es no bueno. I could complete the first stage.

I know you're being sarcastic but it was actually the semifinal, the top 15 advanced to the final he finished 16th. He's a freak athlete 6'4 255 doing the things he was doing is crazy.

The third stage is for real. But I thought it wasn't timed. Did you mean the second stage?

I guess I am not familiar with American Ninja Warrior. I thought it was the same courses as the original, but I guess not.

I think originally it was just a tryout and they would send the winner to the original Mt. Midoriama or whatever. I guess they have their own course now?

In the Japanese ninja warrior, the first stage was pretty easy. You would get randoms passing it, so I would expect a professional athlete to do it. I don't know about the American course.

Man that course was no joke.. I'd like to see you tackle that bad boy thrasher. I think the 15 foot curved wall would be the most difficult part.

Was the warped wall on the first stage? That would be the only hard obstacle, but I do have a good vertical for being 6'.

Of course, I know it looks easier on TV, but I just don't see how it could be that hard.

American Ninja Warrior is different; it's not like the original where if you pass the first stage you automatically go to the next, they have the top 15 getting to go on. So not only do you have to finish the course, you have to do it as fast as possible. You're right it used to be they'd send those that finished to Japan, but now it's kind of it's own thing.

I've watched the crap out of the Japanese version and from watching this version of ANW, the first course looks tougher in ANW. Some of the stuff in the ANW's first stage is usually not until at least the second stage in Japan.

I didn't realize what a delay from taping to airing it was. Wimbley said that was filmed back in February.
