I think that's a pair of pretty good picks. Thoughts?

Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow = Fired after a year or two.

And Young wasn't even their choice. Just sad.

Good value on White in the second round. I think Young will be an unmitigated bust. Given that the Titans took them, I hope they both have short, unproductive careers.

Big risk/reward with both of them, especially Young. VY needs a ton of work, and Lendale White has a long way to climb back to get back to his Rose Bowl form.

Obviously I hope Young turns out to be good... but how idiotic can the Titans owner be? You've got Leinart's offensive coordinator from college on your coaching staff, so he already knows the offense, plus he was still in the pro style offense at USC... no, let's draft a guy who had to have a system built around him to succeed. Unbelievable.

Agreed... Young played shotty a lot, lot, lot of the time. His arm is only okay and IMO he isn't fast enough to run away from NFL defenses like he did in the Big XII.

Ah well. Wonder who the Titans have lined up to replace Fisher and Chow.

Best draft I have witnessed by the titans ever. These picks will be one for the ages. Everyone who says Young will be a bust will find out in due time just how wrong they really are. And as for Lendale, the kid is a beast, and the titans pretty much got the steal in the draft with him.

Steal of the draft = Matt Leinart at #10

What is Oakland thinking, weren't they going to take Young if he was there? Why not a better QB in Leinart???

leinart is going to struggle. He may have been the man in college, but i dont think he has enough arm for the nfl..

Leinart's arm strength is not quite up to par with NFL standards, and Oakland's offense is all about the deep ball with Randy Moss. Leinart generally throws better passes over the middle and to guys out of the backfield.

I saw a short clip of LenDale White before he was taken and I got the impression when this cat gets drafted he's gonna have a hell of a motavational chip on his shoulder to perform after being passed over due to speculative talking head gossip. As far as Young is concerned...he's one of those rare athletes you just hand the ball to and say do what you do....the Titans will install a simple 25 play book around Young I'm guessing ....keep it simple for his confidence and turn his talent loose. I think the Titans have really made some excellent football choices.

I think he'll be fine at Arizona. Their offense doesn't really require forcing balls or trying to beat double coverage deep.

Maybe, they're gonna have to rebuild their offense from the ground up now because of Young. If he's gonna run, he's gonna need a LOT of room. He's not athletic enough to do what Vick does.

I'm liking the LenDale White pick more and more... I always thought he'd have a better pro career than Bush because of his running style. That, along with the fact Brown can't stay healthy and Henry loves the drugs it would appear.

I wondered some of the same things. No doubt that Young is a risky pick for the #3 pick overall and I am not convinced of how good he can be. I do really believe he has tons of potential, but a very risky pick. I think he can run away from NFL defenses but I am not convined that he can read NFL defenses. Time will tell.

I think the White pickup was a good one. I like his size and power and I think he can fit well in the Titans sytem.

White will be a good back for the Titans. Bottom line, the guy is a stud. I'm still trying to figure out why the Colts let him pass and took Addai instead..??

I like it alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The two overall best picks by far. Did anyone see the emotion the player from Maryland displayed.To me, that's what its all about.

Young played at Texas and now plays for the Titans. What did you expect? Me to send him a congratulatory flower arrangement?
