Bud wants Peyton - Titans Report - Message Board

“He is the man I want. Period,” Adams said. “And the people that work for me understand that. They know who I want. I want Mr. Manning with the Titans and I will be disappointed if it doesn’t happen.”

“But I want Manning. I’d love to see him in Titan blue after watching him so many years with the Colts,” Adams said. “I will be upset because if I didn’t get him. I want him. I am ready to do what it takes to get him aboard and I think he’d be the guy to get us into the playoffs.”

PLEASE let this happen.

my favorite quote
“He is all for having him come see me,” Adams said. “He just wants to make sure my people in Tennessee want the same thing too — Ruston and Mike and Mike. I am 650 miles away (in Houston) but (they) will do what I say to do because that’s the guy I want and I am going to make the decision.”

Bud's the reason I don't care if the Titans stay in Nashville or move to L.A.

they sell tickets to well to ever move but I get what you're saying

the last thing you want is him micro-managing again; the team actually got better once he stopped doing that

The man is senile.

How in the hell would that work out w/Locker and Hasselbeck?

Exactly. I'm happy to roll with Hass and from what I saw from Locker last year he is going to be the future. If we're going to spend money get Super Mario.

Bud Adams is an old, retarded codger.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Titans, but I don't see this happening without destroying the franchise in the short term. The long term in this is, well, missing. The Titans SERIOUSLY need to shore-up their pass rush, more specifically with a DE or two. We can deal another year with Hasselbeck and Locker. Besides, I think Locker will be a good QB given time, but he has to play.

Additionally, and likely the biggest part, Peyton will not go to play anywhere that is not a legitimate contender for another ring, or isn't just that "one Peyton Manning away" from a Super Bowl.

Did I mention I hate Bud Adams?

Agree.

If we didnt draft Locker

If we didnt have Hass

If we still had VY

If this was one year ago

sure I'd want PM. Not now. Not worth it.

I'm going to continue to be disappointed the longer he steers our ship from his wheelchair in Houston.

Having Peyton would be "nice," but this is the NFL. I'm more concerned about the long-term of my team.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with these views. I'm anxious to see what Locker can do with more playing time under his belt.
