I have read every thread on here and I am dying for more news so here is a Titans update for all of you Titans fans.

I was at the practice last night and although it only last 45 minutes (lightning moved in and CJF moved indoors), I still got to see a good deal.

Lendale White is looking incredible. He has in fact lost 30 lbs and is looking much faster. He is still about 225 so he can still barrel up the middle and I believe that the lost weight is going to seriously improve his career (His contract ends this year fyi)

Chris Johnson is the fastest football player I have ever seen. I have NEVER seen a player that can explode, accelerate, and extend the field like this guy. If he has the time to make 1 cut and get into the secondary, its a TD every time.

Kyle Vanden Bosch would run over the Vols Oline by himself. This guy did not stop screaming, cursing, barking, and causing mayhem the entire practice. The roster they gave us says that he is 6'5, 280 lbs. He is doing great.

One of the best plays of the day came from 3rd round pick Jared Cook from South Carolina. He caught a deep pass over the middle from Vince Young for a TD. He was dominating the 7 on 7.

The Ice Man Kerry Collins is my hero. The guy looks like my dad out there in pads but old man river can still throw darts. He was looking great in the 7 on 7s, delivering passes accurately and quickly every time, he didnt make one bad pass. Crompton should watch what a 36 year old man can do and take notes. He is poised, clear headed, and just goes through the motions.

Our new WR Nate Washington, from Pittsburgh, looked great.

During stretches, Collins and Vanden Bosch were the leaders, talking with CJF and doing all of the stretches, yelling, etc. (that was VandenBosch actually). Vince Young, Chris Johnson, and several others goofed off, did half the stretches, and were really not "In attendance" during the warmups. This, in my opinion, is the reason why Vince will never be the starter. He showed no hint of leadership and was just being loud and obnoxious with several of the other "thugs" on the team. Chris Johnson can get away with this because although he wasnt paying attention during warm ups, he works harder than anyone during the actual practice, scoring on all runs (running an extra 30 yards to the end zone), hustling everywhere, etc.

Go Titans!

By the way, picked up a T-Smith Jersey, Peyton Jersey, and new visor for football season. Vols Bitch

Try looking and posting in the "Other Sports", NFL Football forums. there are plenty of Titans' fans there.

"thugs"? I dont think Vince Young counts as a "thug". Unless of course by "thug" you really mean "black". Otherwise great info thanx for the update.

Actually I never said anything about being black. I said that Vince and Chris Johnson and the other "thugs", IE the guys in the corner of the field being loud and obnoxious not caring about whats going on, were acting up and not being productive. That was about 6 guys, and the rest of the team, mostly black players, were watching Vanden Bosch and Collins.

I feel sorry for you if you correlate being "black" with "thug"

oh gosh cant say black or white or yellow or green without it being the dreaded "race card". I brought up a legitimate observation but thanx for giving it a stupid cliche name. Way to jump into the conversation with something to offer.

ok...well I dont need your sympathy and wasnt trying to insult you. Just something that I have witnessed on here repeatedly that unruly blacks get a special name "thugs" but what do you call Ben Rothlesberger? or Jay Cutler? or that Turley guy from St. Louis. Thats all I'm saying.

you're the one who made "thug" out to be a "black" thing

uh huh and how many white guys do you really think he was referring to? Not trying to be all racial here just making observations. If people cant even entertain the idea that race colors our every observation and the descriptions of those observations then never mind. Lets all just pretend there's nothing wrong. How was Finnigan??

and that brings up an interesting point about the images immediately linked to the words we use. Is birdman the first image in your mind after I say Thug?? But anyway I do sincerely apologize for slinging this thread so badly off topic. More of a slip of the tongue really. Feel free to ignore me and continue talking titans football. But really is there any news on Finnigan, am I spelling that right??

Ha, if Roethlisberger or Cutler was black, I still don't think anyone would consider their behavior thuggish. You could call them a drunk, stupid, or a baby but not thugs.

Anyway, thanks for the update OP. Like someone else asked, how did Britt look? What about the d-line?

Didnt get to see Britt at all, practice was too short for me to keep tabs on everyone.

The D-Line was looking good. Everyone looked in shape but the intensity of everyone was overshadowed by Vanden Bosch.
