I was watching the cincy-vandy bowl game from a year ago, and his defensive line was winning at the point of attack almost every play. They were dominating on the line all game. He developed Derek Wolfe, and John Hughes. This guy is going to make our dline great again.

Yes, this coach is going to be a real key. We have to light a fire under that d-line butt. We had like 12 sacks thru 8 games or something. Not sure how we ended up. But it was weak. Sentimore, Couch and McCullers...all big but slow. I think the 4-3 move will help us.

just curious, what is Janceks defensive style?

Very aggressive. I think it. They are not scared of blitzing. They seem to believe in taking the fight to the offense. Going to be a big difference from that 3-3-5 prevent we played the second half of this year.

Stripling is a very highly respected D-line coach. I'm really excited to see our progress here.

Steve Stripling is the d-line coach. TJ Weist is the WR coach at Cincy. I was watching the Cincy vs. Va Tech game last night. I fell asleep before halftime, but the D looked good not allowing any points.

Whoops, can a mod change that? It was 6 am here.

Players go hard and fast. He doesn't overload them schematically. Philosophy is predicated on swarming to the ball to cause turnovers. But a base 4-3 D for the simple answer.

Defense is all about reacting, and reading what is happening.
