He's a DT. Guys like him are space eaters and if they are run away from, you can't expect huge tackle numbers.

It's like having a shutdown cornerback who takes away half the field just with his presence. Those guys don't put up huge stats. It is the absence of stats that speak to their true effectiveness.

Jonathan Allen was the leading tackler in the NFL, last year, from the DT position, and he only had 63 total tackles (40 solo, and 23 assists), 3 TFLs and 2 sacks. And that was across 16 games.

Not many kids that age and size are in great shape in HS. Folks just used to seeing highlights compared to full games. He also has been at 3 schools in 3 yrs. it’s all about finding potentiall and he has loads of it. Garner will have him right like Derrick Brown

And the ball hardly ever spirals. The defense didnt even need to double any of the receivers because Peyton isn't that good.

Kid could've come out and played like gangbusters, and some would not have been impressed. Type that's given a million dollars, and bit*h because it wasn't 2 million.

Also, definitely not listening to those that don't know the name of our DL coach, the difference between GARNER and Gardner.

As I have said before, there are some posters on this board who should be wearing Orange colors. They are trolls and NOT Tennessee fans. Of course, they could just not know anything about football.

There’s only one individual saying the kid sucks.

Everyone else that has an issue is saying he just needs to get in shape (which he does) that’s not a knock on the kid. Just saying he needs to work on it.

He has all the potential in the world, imagine if he had the motor to go with that potential…. Whew

One season with Garner and our S&C staff and we would see that. This is a first round talent, potential top 5 talent.

Agree completely. When he did actually give 100% on a play you could see how fast and explosive he was. It was impressive.

One of the plays I watched he blew up 3 offensive lineman.
