I'm simply stating that I don't think he will meet these expectations for the reasons I've stated. Nobody thinks he's trash or that he'll be a bust. But there are warning signs there for anyone aware enough to notice them.

Yes one player on the interior line can stop them… you know those 20-40yd sweep plays to the outside that his linebackers and secondary couldn’t contain….

I never said he did. I also didn't claim he was playing 1 on 1 against Rudy. Maryville's olineman on him was 6'4" and roughly 275. Also, he was double-teamed and schemed away from much more than you acknowledge.

He was clearly out of shape and not playing at the best of his abilities. Maryville is good and can make anybody, any-body, look average when they scheme against them.

Maryville did not dominate him in a 1v1 basis, they had to scheme entirely against him in order to diminish his impact.
