So, kids start early and how are you truly supposed to grow in a system that never changes from pee wee ball all the way to High school? I mean you probably drive off half your talent just because they aren’t developed early on and possibly give up on football.

Just saying their system is just that a system. It makes them a winning program but doesn’t promote a lot of extra talent.

Maryville and Alcoa recruit players from around the area. A school or two in Kingsport also recruit players from their area. However, they do not recruit players from California and the Mid West the way some schools in Georgia do.

I had a fifth grade student call me a douche one year "joking"around because that's what his friends called each other. We had a little talk then I had a talk with his mom. She explained to him what a douche was. Ha. Mortified young man never called anyone else that...at least within my earshot. 😛

I listened to Swain’s podcast last night and he echoed my statement. Also questioned his dedication by spending all offseason traveling to IMG and other schools and not working out enough.

I agree with everything you said except the last statement. People are trash for making observations? You sound like a politician, can’t handle any criticism about your party.

The dude is awesome but no one is above criticism

There's a reasonable limit. Some on here seem to routinely cross it, and frequently involves trashing our players and recruits. He's out of shape, fine. He hasn't played (so far) up to his ranking, fine. When it wanders over into some of the other stuff, they need to stop.

But D1 is worried we will get excited about this and not wring our hands if a RB wants to join 10 other RBs at AL or GA.
