Well, I guess the monkey is off of their backs now. Maybe this will humble them a bit and when we meet them in the ncaa champ we will be ready.

I don't think we will ever see that again in the women's game....it's to much parity now....IE Duke, Tennessee, Baylor, Ohio State, North Carolina, LSU, UConn etc

We needed this desperately.

Only beating teams by a few points here and there...and coming back in the second half finally got to us. Maybe this will humble us a bit and show us that we aren't invincible, and that anyone could beat us on a bad night. Yeah, it sucks to no longer be #1 or undefeated, but we'll get over it. Besides...after next week, Duke won't be undefeated either.

Needless to say I was pretty shocked when I turned it back to the game after watching The Sopranos to find them down by 18... and it only got worse.

I have always disliked Dook Mens Bball.....
Even this makes me hate them more..LOL...Even though we played like crap..it adds more hate for dook!! :D

I'll be the first to say we were outplayed....no pointing fingers at refs.

Man, we couldn't hit a shot and they couldn't miss.

I'll lose my voice when they come here.

Somebody find Zolman...PUH LEASE!!!!

I can tell you one reason why. Our offense is mostly just stand around , a screen at the top of the key and that's it. We are not that hard to defend. If we ran a motion offense like UConn or Duke, there's no telling what we could average on the scoreboard. How many times did they have open players either cutting to the basket for a layup or being left wide open for threes after a penetration drive by the point guard? I love Pat Summit and I know that she stresses defense, but our players are sometimes at a disadvantage on defense when they play a team that runs a lot of screens and backdoor cuts because that's not what we have to defend during practice.

What I did see of it, the game was pretty sloppy on both sides.

I'm not gonna worry about a team coached by Pat Summitt, they'll be fine.

hey a 22 point loss, thats impressive... you have to really try if you want to lose by 22 in ladies basketball... hats off to the vols and there great effort.. haha
