Sorry if this should go somewhere else.. I'm a noob on here.. please move accordingly.. :D

But anyway, I'm an old Notre Dame High School alum and ex ND football player.. I try to attend local games as much as I can.. I'd love to talk about local football, mostly in Eastern TN, and find out how good Livingston Academy is.. They play my Notre Dame boys this week in the State semi-finals!

Whattaya know... Livingston Academy alum here. :D

LA is a run oriented team... ran right at you with the Full Backs or around you with the QB or RB on the option.

Do you read the coacht forums?

No, I haven't really been into forums much, this is the first I've been apart of. Feel free to point me in that direction.. :)

Run oriented, eh? They call the Notre Dame defensive line "The Wall".. not too many teams can run on em. Last week they played White House, and White House ran the ball 30+ times for about 150 yards, and they passed twice for 0 yards.

How is LA's defense?

LA's defense has been playing great thus far in the playoffs. Most of LA's players play on both sides of the ball, so I guess that could contribute to the defense not being as good, but you can't make excuses now. The offense had to carry them much of the season, but the D has came up big in the playoffs.

ND is doin pretty well on both sides of the ball so far throughout the season.. White House was a test.. but I hope it's a great game this weekend..

Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to check it out..

I'm sure it'll be a close game... LA lost 5 games, but by a combined total of 28 points.

Are you gonna make it up to Livingston for the game?

I live 10 miles away but I'm not going, lol... gonna be way too many frickin' people there for my taste.

I plan to go.. I think I heard somewhere that the game was in Cookeville? I'm not exactly sure if that's where LA is or not.. I'm not familiar with that region of TN..

ND is 13-0 and outscored their opponents 382-69.. but their schedule wasn't too hard.. they played a few good teams, but no real tests till the game with White House..

Knoxville Carter, Austin East, and Knoxville Catholic were all "supposed" to beat LA, too. :D

CoachT had ND to win at 75% or so.. I don't go much by percentages.. but I do hope they win.. a couple names to watch out for in that game from ND is Devon Carthorn, Ian Meredith, and Chase Spurlock.. those boys names are over the loud speakers all night! :)

I am originally from Morristown, living in Dandridge now, how hard will it be to get into Burke-Toney Stadium friday for the Morristown-West and Maryville game.

Maryville's playoffs games are always packed.. no matter where they play or who they play or what the odds are they'll win.. lot of fan support up there, so.. it will probably be pretty tough.. be prepared to park a mile away and walk.. lol

No, that's usually state champ games.. this is semi finals.. the semifinal home team is whatever team is in the top playoff bracket on odd years, and the bottom team on even years..

It's a Semi Finals game... there might not be another one of those in Livingston in my lifetime, or until Wilson Cates reproduces...

Hope you had a good time up here in Overton County, ChattaVol, except for your team coming out on the losing end.

I guess you know who Wilson Cates is now, huh?

Actually, I didn;t think the traffic was as bad tonight compared to the Austin East/Homecoming game.

Granted I got the hell out of there with about 20 seconds left on the clock, but I still managed to drive right out of there when I got to the truck and let it warm up for a minute or two.

Yeah, was a good game.. and I do know who Wilson Cates is.. the only player on Livingston's football team.. but, he's a helluva ball player.. if you're in good with those coaches, should advise them to take better care of him.. he's gonna get hurt with as many touches as he gets.. that team can't afford to lose him..

LA was a nice school.. but their fans left a lot to be desired.. I was impressed that downtown Livingston had a Huddle House, AND and Taco Bell tho..
