Yeah, we should listen to you instead of the people who turned this dumpster fire around in 2 seasons right?Which means they will eventually get run over by big physical offensive lines and there will be a ceiling to this programs success.

Pull your head outta your ass. Florida started a 350 lb+ DT this year and gave up 175 yards rushing per game. He was so immobile and fatigued so quickly, teams would be running it straight at him by the 2nd half. UGA’s heaviest DT (by 20 pounds) weighed 320. Youre not as smart as you think you are.
The issue is that Hood hasn't worked up to 350. That dude was pushing 400lbs and lost a lot of weight between junior and senior year. He was always thought to be a project, but then he performed well in camp settings before his senior year. Camp reps don't equate to a team football game for 4 qtrs though.we had two guys pushing 340 on our line this yr and one pushing 330
if they think the kid can fit in the scheme they will go after those types. Hell, we just signed a few more of them who are between 330-345. But maybe they thought this kid couldn't do it which is possible for sure. I know nothing about him or his abilities though.
Oh yeah. UGA really struggled against Florida’s 400 pound DT.All you have to do to know that is to have watched football awhile with open eyes. Smaller more athletic DL's inevitably will get pushed around by a big physical OL. The nation saw that happen in a college football game as recently as Monday night.
Georgia outgained Missouri 481 to 294. UGA had a couple of critical turnovers that kept the score close, and Mizzou drained multiple field goals in the 50+ range. UGA won the game because they ran Mizzou's ass over in the 4th quarter.Oh yeah. UGA really struggled against Florida’s 400 pound DT.
Mizzou had 1 DT that was 300+. UGA really pushed them around huh?
TCU runs a 3-3-5 defense. Tennessee isn’t recruiting DL that small (Thomas and Terry are both about 320). But to suggest we need 350 pound DTs is absurd. There’s a reason people never bring up Daniel McCullers anymore. He wasn’t a huge impact. No explosiveness.
The best DT in the country right now is 305-310 (Jalen Carter).
