On 680 in Atlanta, Tom Luginbill said that we aren't in the running for any elite 2011 QBs (top 15 or so) and we won't be. His analysis was that Dooley will not pursue because he's either confident in Bray and Simms OR he's certain he can land a 2012 prospect.

ESPN and Luginbill are a joke. His rankings are comical and always have been. Worley is a lock at this point and a Top 10 QB when all is said and done.

Nothing is certain at this point and I feel that the staff will be looking for a competent qb. All it takes is one bad tackle and your #2 is starting...

as i asked someone the other day, someone find me 5 pro-style QBs with a better offer list than Justin Worley.

If we strike out on Worley, his statement on getting an elite QB may be accurate.

We might strike out with Worley (I doubt it), but it would be pretty hilarious to see Worley end up Top 10 and committed to UT.

Pretending Luginbill knows anything about anything is pretty laughable.

Worley has just as an impressive offer/interest of any pro style qb out there. Lots of college recruiters going to be proven wrong if Luginbill is correct. I have never been very high on ESPN's recruiting site but that is my opinion.

Yeah, the WWL is nowhere near my mind when I think of recruiting. The most I'll do is tune into ESPNU on NSD, but they're otherwise irrelevant to me.

I wouldn't mind if he was wrong on Worley AND right about us putting some focus into 2012

Exactly, I look at who has offered and how many offers, not the ranking. Recruiting matters, recruiting rankings do not.

With that said, it would be nice if he was ranked higher than 30. :ermm:

I take that to mean he hasn't camped anywhere? If you camp, you get more stars.

he will be higher than 30. and go by his Scout offer list. Rivals rarely updates their's.

I think he could be a top 5 QB. I could see the top 5 prostyle QBs being Driskell Wittek Lemay Worley and Rivers
