Saw this at the SEC blog and did not see it posted here.

Says TN landed the best recruit this weekend and if you scroll down, Bowl projections has us going to the Liberty Bowl. :dance2:

Of course, ESPN still hates us. :)

Looking at those BCS projections makes me want to vomit. Can't we get rid of conference qualifiers already? I mean the BCS was made for a reason. That reason was to rank the best teams in the nation. So why do we have conference qualifiers in BCS bowls? Let the bowls choose which 2 they want out of the top 12 BCS teams.

They should not even get a choice IMO!!! 1 should pay 2, 3 should play 4 and so on up to the top 10. Everyone one else can be destributed to play whom ever. And the bowl owners can draw straws for all i care for which team set they get.

I mean this bowl owner picking whom ever they want is Crap! Those teams in the top 10 deserve to play a high ranking team of same caliber IMO! They fought for it they deserve it.

I agree which is why we are finally getting a playoff next year.

Although I am sure the NCAA will find a way to fudge that up too! :banghead2:

Off subject, just a bit, but I didn't realize that J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans played at Central Michigan for bUTch in 2007.....

The BCS bowl committees should get a choice. They are going to choose the teams that bring the most revenue. If they didn't get a choice then you always risk that mid major school getting #4-5 in the BCS rankings.

I was always of the frame of mind that Bobby Bowden had: play anyone, anywhere.

If the mid majors want BCS glory then they should play BCS teams.

"Coach Jones, how he was recruiting me -- was like no other feeling I've ever had," Hendrix said. "No other coach recruited me how he was. He calls me, inboxes me and every week we're talking." This is the most important part of the whole shebang.

I hate to say it, but I hope we end up in the Music City Bowl. My boys won their championship game this weekend and the team gets tickets to the Music City Bowl to be recognized on the field, would love to see UT play. A little selfish, but my boys are hoping they are there too.

We will either be in the Music City or Liberty Bowl. I think Music City is more likely since they took us in 2010 at 6-6 and they pick first.

Then we will get to play a mid-tier ACC team instead of a C-USA team. If Georgia Tech, that would be awesome since we never get to play them anymore and they used to be a rival.

I would love to play Georgia Tech again. Some of those Tennessee-Georgia Tech games in the 1980s were bloodbaths.

If the MCB has the choice... they'll probably pick us.

In 2010 we put almost 70,000 in there. The average for the other 4 games has been about 55,000.

Whoever gets UT, especially the MCB given the proximity, knows they'll get a large crowd.

Just don't recruit by stars alone. The star system is, well, screwed up. Any of you ever go to a combine then you know what I am talking about.

There is a bunch of good talent out there that are not getting attention from rivals. It is kind of like the heisman trophy has become, a PR contest. In fact, I see a bunch of that kind of thing on this sight to, just saying.
