Excited about this kid. Laser timed 4.41 forty time and 10.59 in 100M is plenty fast enough for an SEC safety. Thats starting Corner speed. Hits well and ball hawk on his film. Our strength/nutrition staff will put 15 or 20lbs on him. Need a SMART Safety or 2 back there. Taking bad angles, misreading running plays, and being out of position KILLED OUR DEFENSE this year and kept us out of the playoffs. Hopefully Luke balls out soon. The best Safety we have had in CJH 5 seasons was a walk-on white kid that many on here said was gonna suck. He had 4 INTS last season, leading our team, and game saving tackles at Safety also where it was 6points if he missed. Our entire defense barely had 4INTs this season by the way...

A few things in the Will Brooks reference
1) I said he would start and people called me crazy.

2) It took him 4 years to be able to do that.

Will Brooks was All-State in Alabama and 10.9 Sprinter and played RB.

Thompson is a well rounded Athlete but he never took over games. A kid that runs 10.5 in 100 meter that’s a starter and plays multiple positions should be able to take over a game.

McClain is good tackler but he doesn’t have the juice of Thompson.

We really needed Moa. Combay is good! Maybe Anderson could get a look at safety too. Wyatt is learning but he’s also a guy that may take some time before he contributes.
