I listened to the game. Tusculum had 35 turnovers.

Vols were only up 28-26 when I started listening to it... needless to say, the Pioneers were gassed.

Wasn't able to go to this one like I usually do, so I would love to hear a scouting report from someone who did.

well, i went to my first ever Tennessee mens basketball game tonight. Have watched forever just never made it over there to watch. Needless to say, I was VERY impressed with JuJuan Smith. He couldn't miss tonight. Hit 5 3 pointers. I believe he'll be 2nd all-sec this year. Also, was impressed with Duke and Chism inside. They couldn't seem to finish anything in the 1st half but the 2nd half it looked like two different guys. If might just be me, but i believe our starting 5 should be..
R. Smith
C. Lofton
J. Smith
D. Bradshaw
D. Crews
This seems to be the best combination we put out there tonight. Crews either blocks or makes people change their shot almost everytime. People talk about Ramars jumper, from everything i saw tonight i think it is absolutely fine. This team is gonna be very good when they get some experience.

Couldn't buy a basket in the first half. UT shot 35% in the first half including 4-15 from 3point land. Explaining the first half score of 36-27. Second half was a whole lot better. UT shot 71% from the field and was 8-11 from behind the arc. Tusculum played well first half. They just wore down in the second half mostly because of UT's full-court press. JuJuan Smith again was the leading scorer with 21 points. Looks like he is proving he deserves to be in starting lineup. Ramar Smith had a decent showing 11pts and 8 assists. Jordan Howell played tonight returning from his injury to his hand. He nailed a couple of 3's and seemed to handle the ball well. I thought Chism played well also. He is showing he has a nice jump shot from 15ft or so. All in all fairly easy win against a division 2 school.

TOTAL POINTS
Chism-12
Crews-11
Ramar-11
Lofton-10
Tabb-2
Johnson-4
JuJuan-21
Bradshaw-3
Passley-9
Howell-6
Childress-9

Sounds like we've done pretty well this first couple of games. When and with whom is the next game?

They looked good in the first exhibition game, and in the second half of the Tusculum exhibition. Remember, though, that these first two have only been exhibition games against lesser competition. We will know more about the team after the actual season opener on Friday, and the following 2 games in Nashville in the NIT.

As far as the next (first) game goes, it is on Friday, November 10th at home vs. Middle Tennessee at 7:30pm.
