Chance Fitzgerald - Nolensville - WR
Kelsey Pope is in Nashville and will drop in at Ensworth, Nolensville to check on the all of a sudden blowing up Chance Fitzgerald and then will be at CPA and Lipscomb to see Nate Spillman.

Nolensville (Tenn.) senior standout Chance Fitzgerald's recruitment has exploded thanks to his stellar performance so far this fall. Fitzgerald has regularly displayed noticeably improved short-area suddenness accompanied by impressive acceleration and top-end speed. Fitzgerald, who rises from an 86 to a high three-star 89 on 247Sports, has shown consistent big-play juice in the vertical passing game, but also plenty of pass-catching volume in the short-to-intermediate range, as evidenced by his almost nine receptions per game.
The lack of verified information on Fitzgerald -- listed 6-foot-3, 184 pounds -- makes him a tougher evaluation than others with track and field and combine testing data. Nevertheless, the tape clearly shows juiced-up athleticism this fall, as do his 71 catches for 963 yards and 12 touchdowns on 13.6 yards per grab in Nolensville's 8-0 start fueled by Fitzgerald's connection with Georgia Southern three-star QB commit Coby Walton. Fitzgerald recently hit double-digit Power Five offers, including Minnesota, Louisville, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, and West Virginia.
Weekly rankings notes: James Peoples, Jordan Ross headline 2024 risers
"I think Chance is playing much more physical this year, he's being much more aggressive after the catch and his route running continues to just get better," Nolensville coach Paul Derrick said. "He's always had great ball skills but I think the main thing that's stood out to me is that he's got some pop to him. He's got more straight-line speed than he's had in the past and that's really been big this season for us."
