1. No matter what the situation is, or how good or bad a team is or should be, it always sucks losing to Florida. This was no different.

2. I can understand the decision to start Peterman, as it gave you the option to have better mobility, but he must be a player that looks much better in practice than he does in a game, because there's no way they would have made that decision otherwise. I can also understand leaving him in several series. Nervous jitters take a bit to get out of your system.

3. I'm done being impressed with our O-Line. Easley dominated them the whole game. Too much pressure on our QB's, and not much going on the offensive game.

4. Neyland said his maxim about capitalizing on opportunities for a reason. If we don't fumble after that first turnover by Florida, it's a whole different game, even if Peterman continued to play how he did. Lots of opportunities, just didn't take advantage.

5. Proud for Devaun Swafford. Kid was totally overlooked out of high school, and many of you all questioned the decision by Butch to bring him in and not grayshirt him, but he made an excellent play that brought momentum to us, and put points on the board.

6. Our tackling is still atrocious at times. Too many missed tackles that led to big gains, especially on the Purifoy reception that started their momentum.

7. I thought the pass coverage was pretty good today. Our secondary is not nearly as horrible as I thought they would be. I'm predicting that next year, they will be a bright spot.

8. Worley had a few positive throws towards the end of the game, but he still is making wrong decisions, and throwing the ball into places he doesn't need to. But I saw some positives out of Worley in the second half.

9. Do not start asking for Ferguson or Dobbs. Worley is going to be the guy from here on out. I highly doubt that Butch would put a freshman through the stretch we're about to go through, especially when in reality we have no shot of winning most of them. Give them a redshirt year. Mold them, but don't throw them to the wolves. They're not ready yet, and it won't benefit us in the long run. Our best hope is that one of Ferg or Dobbs is the answer. But it will be next year before we see that.

10. I'm sick and tired of seeing people say that these guys quit. Being tired is not the same thing as quitting. These guys did not quit, and that's why this team is a better mentally coached team than a Dooley team. They still fought, and made some positive plays towards the end. I think the mental intensity is coming back. These players have had 4 years of laying down at the half. It's gonna take a while to get that fight back. If we continue to fight like we did today throughout the season, we might surprise someone.

Overall, I'm disappointed that we didn't capitalize on the opportunities that were served to us. And I'm disappointed that Peterman wasn't able to dig himself out of a hole. And I'm always disappointed in losing to the Gators. But I am also aware that this is a team with no playmakers, a team whose defense has zero depth and is therefore worn out by the 4th quarter, and a team who was not built to run what they are running.

But Butch is building an attitude of fight, and he's going to get some quality players in this system, and I believe every year we will show some improvement, as opposed to Dooley.

I'm thinking about how much better the secondary will be with TK and Gaulden and McDowell back there, and how much better the LBers will be when Curt is back, and when Weatherd comes in, and adds some depth. I think as we see some speed come in, and some new talent, things will get better.

But as of right now, we are a very slow football team that has been mentally conditioned to shut down after adversity and mistakes hit, and we're trying to slowly work our way out of that.

Give this staff a bit of slack. It's going to be a rough year. But it really truly is a process, and a process is always rough at the beginning. But once it gets to where it needs to be, we will all be happy.

Agree with everything but Worley making multiple bad decisions. He made one bad decision and it was picked. While his throws may be off target, that doesn't make them bad decisions.

Good thoughts. I agree, the team didn't quit. I'm still optimistic that our offense has a coming out party against someone other than South Alabama..

Ppl on this site are ridiculous.

Think about what Butch said about the type of players he wanted to recruit last signing day. He said he wanted guys who were used to winning, and who knew what it took to win.

For example, Riley Ferguson has only lost 2 games since Pop Warner football. One of those games was to Marquez North's team.

He's bringing in Jalen Hurd, whose team won the title last year, and may repeat this year, even without him.

Butch wants guys who know how to win, and know what it takes. That's not physical things, that a mental thing.

And he's coaching with about 70 guys who do not know how to win, nor what it takes to overcome adversity.

Instead, he's coaching 70 players who have been taught over the past 3 years to lay down and not fight back when you get down. He's coaching guys that have no chip on their shoulder, and who have automatically assumed if a team is ranked higher, then they should expect to lose to them.

It's changing a culture of losing into a culture of winning. It took us what, 7 years to get to this rock bottom culture of losing, it will take us at least 3 years to get back to the expectation of winning.

You people are idiots if you're expecting CBJ to win any more than 6 this year. It's just not going to happen.

Until we get the Dooley attitude gone, and the Jones attitude in, it's going to be hard.
