Sab, Eric, JMVA, and the rest of you experts. (Except that one guy who I could care less what he thinks.)

When you guys get a minute, make a list of all the recruits you think we end up with.

Will we sign the full 28?

Will we grab another QB?

How many OL do we end with?

So I wanna see you guys lists. I think this will be cool to go over as the recruiting season wears on.

we will sign the full 28, for sure.

Idk if we will go after another QB or not. If we did, it would prolly be BB. IF is the key word.

I think 5 OL.

Here's how I think we end up. We currently have 17 commitment and I think we end up with about 9-11 more.

QB: Bray, obviously. However, I would not be surprised at all if our staff still actively pursued guys like Chase Rettig, Garrett Grayson, Tommy Rees, maybe even Jesse Scroggins

RB: There are several obvious "big time" RBs still considering us in Dyer, Seastrunk, Clements, and Bernard. I honestly don't believe we will end up signing one of those four, but it looks as though they will at least take an official here. Another guy to keep an eye on is Mustafa Green. Ultimately, the guy I see offering and signing is Keon Williams.

FB: Channing Fugate all the way.

WR: UT will only take one more receiver. The only four guys that seem to have mutual interest in Tennessee are Demarco Cobbs, Ted Meline, Kenny Stills, and Chris Dunkley. It looks as though all four will visit officially, but I think we end up with Cobbs in the end.

OL: This is where is gets interesting. The staff seems to really like John Cullen out of JUCO. The only other JUCO that is really an option is Chuckie Curry, but the staff seems to be most interested in Cullen. As for regular 2010 prospects, the only guys that seem to be realistic options are James Stone and Damien Robinson. The staff certainly still pursuing Arie Kouandjio but they aren't getting anywhere IMO. I believe (and hope) we will end up with Cullen and either Robinson or Stone. Another guy with a very good chance of getting a late offer is Cameron Clemmons.

DL: There are some guys the staff will get on campus and will continue to actively recruit, a few of which are committed to other schools. Some of them are Brandon Willis, Kelcy Quarles, Todd Chandler, JR Ferguson, and Ronald Powell. Right now, out of those five I honestly think our best shot is with Kelcy Quarles, though all look to be taking officials to UT, with the exception of Ferguson. I spoke to Chandler recently and he has definitely cooled on UT, but will still take an official. Willis will more than likely end up at FSU, and Ferguson is a tough one to call, but I think there's a very good chance he ends up at Miami with Kouandjio. I also would not be surprised in the least if Corey Miller wound up taking an official to Tennessee sometime during the season or maybe even later down the road. A JUCO guy to watch our for is David Mahoney. Also don't forget about Fre'Shad Hunter.

LB: The staff isn't recruiting too many prospects at the LB position. The three they seem to be zeroing in on are Jeff Luc, Christian Jones, Josh Shirley and Khairi Fortt. I believe the staff will land one of those, but all look like they will take officials, with the possible exception of Fortt and I wouldn't be surprised if they extended a late offer to an in state prospect, most likely Ferlando Bohanna. Travis Williams, who is a Safety/LB tweener prospect from Virginia will also take an official.

DB: The DBs are probably the toughest to call. It looks like Dietrich Riley will be a Vol. Cody Riggs and Keion Payne both definite possibilities and both will take officials. Christian Bryant and Joshua Shaw will also take officials. Another guy, who likely be a safety is college, if current Florida commitment Demar Dorsey, who will also likely take an official.

Here is how I think our class will end up:

Keon Williams
Demarco Cobbs
John Cullen
Damien Robinson
Cameron Clemmons
Kelcy Quarles
Jones/Shirley
Bohanna
Riley
And one of Riggs, Payne, Bryant, and Dorsey.

That would total 27 commitments. Two of the four stars that I projected to sign with us will probably gain a fifth star. Also Williams and Bohanna will likely end up being three stars That would leave us with 3.62 total star average and likely a Top 5 class.

Cobbs
Quarles

Riggs

There's still room for a couple more, too. It's a reasonable list.

I think we are still in the hunt for Dyer. We get one great RB...Dyer would be fantastic

Everybody's list will pretty much be the same. Just a 2 or 3 interchangeables at each position...

Sab no Michael Taylor or Delvin Jones? And why does everyone and their mother think we get Ego? I would love it but he's said nothing really to indicate us as even a top 3 candidate

lol I'm already wrong.

Sab, Burnett's an interesting one. Haven't heard much about him...

I don't think the staff will accept a commitment from Trimble.

Seems like almost everyone has D.Robinson and Quarles on their list, i am curious as to why? From rivals, scout, and espn it doesn't look very promising...inside info?

And what about Leifheit and G. Uko? We are in top 5 for both with official visits scheduled...seems like someone would mention them? Or is there info that hasn't been updated on the recruiting sites i don't know about?

There have been a few commits out of nowhere so to speak. This staff has a nice curve ball. Bout the time you think you have a clue as to who we get, bang here comes someone we have not discussed.

I took advantage of the edit feature. :)

I think we end up with Trimble after we miss on some other guys. JMO.

Quarles is an interesting situation. The kid really wants to come here. I have heard from a source that he is basically a silent, but I'm not sure how reliable that is.

I think he may end up being a Janzen Jackson/Nu'keese Richardson situation with a switch on signing day. The kid is trying to get back up here for a game. That tells me a lot.

The thought with Robinson is that Bama is going to be full at OL. It's basically down to us and them and I think they only take one more guy.

I don't think we have a real good shot at Uko or Leifheit.

I do not have inside info, just like reading alot.

I am positive we will take 28. I think if Houston Nutt had not oversigned and given us the 28 limit, we would be taking 30 or 31. I may be the only person on here who believes this, but I believe Marques Pair could end up switching and so could Broussard depending on what happens with the board.

I think we get one of the top RBs. Dyer would be great and he is who I hope for most, because I think we have no shot with Seastrunk who I think is going to LSU. Gio Bernard is who we get IMO if we do not get Dyer.

I think we definitely get Dietrich Riley. I do not think USC will sway him because I think Riley will already be too excited about trying to be Eric Berry. I also think that this year Berry ends up with lots more publicity than Taylor Mays even if Mays is also a 1st round draft pick.

I think we are in good shape to get some combo of backers of Shirley, Fortt, Burnett and Luc. I want Luc the most, and now that I know he is coming to the Auburn game (thanks JMVA) I think that game could be bigger to me than the UCLA one. I want Auburn to keep running up scores also because I do not think they will be able to do as much against us. After that game I want Luc to have watched highlight reel hits on the Jumbotron and to think that he is better than our LB's (which he will almost certainly be).

DTs! Oh baby! We have such good history with Haynesworth and Henderson and I think we are well and truly in it for lots of the same good guys everyone up here is talking about. Chandler, Quarles etc. One thing I am very interested in is if we can pull Garrison Smith from Douglass high school in Hotlanta away from UGA and give Lance Thompson a recruiting coup. I think IF UGA loses to South Carolina they will unfurl this season, but I am predicting that they beat the gamecocks by 21. Interesting game for us, better for our Quarles play if UGA pounds USC and much much much more likely that we get Quarles than that we sway Smith.

OL I want Cullen, D Robinson and Stone.
Most think Leifheit to UNC and A Kouandjio to Miami but if we got the above 3 we would be in fantastic shape. I have also learned my lesson about Jose Jose as center, and it sounds better than it did at first when you read more about the guy and all the weight he is losing. On a side note, I freaking love Josh McNeil and wish he could be the recipient of a new knee surgery from James Andrews in B'ham because that kid has the heart of a lion.

We will take 28. I'm not even going to try and guess anyone else right now after Meline committed. This staff is a machine and I really don't want to make a list this early. Sorry to disappoint CBC.
